Macklemore amazes me. I respect how far him and Ryan Lewis have come, being Independent and making it to the top without a label, I like that a lot. Macklemore raps for change and doesn't just rap about "money, drugs, and hoes" most his music has a deeper meaning. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are great musicians, I respect them and the art they've made.

Damn I respect this man so much, he deserves his victory lap. He's inspired me from the first time I heard him. After battling an addiction from the time I was 16 and going through hell and back (being homeless, going to detox/rehab/psych wards/jails and eventually going to prison) I've managed to get my life back on track. I'm 23 now and have a decent amount of clean time, managed to get myself a "decent" paying job and an apartment and a vehicle and basically live paycheck to paycheck but probably nobody would understand how grateful I am for these little things. I love life everyday but I am still waiting for that day when I can take MY victory lap.

I showed this video to my english class on the projector about a week after it was released in april 2012 and it had like 20,000 and nobody in my 11th grade english class knew who he was. How times change, I bet you show this to any 11th grade english class now in the USA and adleast 50% of the class would know who this guy is.
