Tossing Big Mullet off the Pier! Epic Results!

Pier fishing with live mullet bait in the summer is a great way to catch some true monsters. In today's video I wanted to catch some big fish on some live mullet. So we started tossing some big mullet off of the pier at the inlet park. This fishing excursion produced some epic results! Fishing off of the pier/jetty is never an easy task, but it makes for an epic day!

I was there fishing with My cousin when I saw Ryan, he was right next to me, for someone I watch constantly on KZbin it was really cool to say what’s up, we only had a convo for a minute but Ryan bro you were so cool to me and I appreciate that. I wanted a pic so bad but didn’t wanna be a bother, maybe next time. BTW it was my first time in that location and I hooked on prob the biggest fish of my life but it didn’t even have as big effect on me as meeting Ryan. The first thing I noticed about this reel is its weight kzbin.infoUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable but it was a little heavier than other similarly sized reels. However, that didn't deter my enjoyment of how smooth this reel is. I spooled it with 20lb. Tuf-Line XP and it's perfect for what I use it for. I have it paired with an 8'6" Medium/Fast Okuma SST Salmon/Steelhead rod. The combination is perfect for casting and even drifting. I used the reel all day and didn't experience any arm or hand fatigue except when fighting a few fish! The bail is solid and feels strong when engaging by reeling and manually closing the bail by hand. The large rubber handle grip is very comfortable. It's got a powerful drag, silky smooth reeling, and feels very comfortable in the hands. I recommend it!

Ryan, why do you think the fish at Sebastian Inlet fight differently? I’ve fished both and agree with you, but never thought of why. Shallow water/deep water? The other pier is more of a “street fight” with the big fish.

I like when you go over specifics. A lot of videos, the guys will throw the bait on the rod, start fishing and they never say another word until they catch something, and then they go right through the same old thing again not with you though, you take the time to explain to us that's what we need. where I am from if something is out of season and breeding we aren't even allowed to target them and can cop big fines if we are caught targeting them. makes sense if you think about how else the fish can die while fighting it. you guys have a very beautiful fishery in florida and maybe just think about that next time you target these fish out of season. just giving my 2 cents :)
