Ryan Myers goes spearfishing in Hawaii at some epic new grounds with his friends Justin Lee, Ben Zyons and Spencer Haskins. Do you guys encounter any shark problems? In Florida and Bahamas you would be insane to have a stringer with those fish on your hip. Sharks show up almost instantly after you shoot a fish

I would never do that in Florida or the Bahamas. Luckily out here our sharks are much less aggressive and it’s pretty common to keep fish on your belt. We do a lot of shore dives out here as well so we get very used to keeping our fish with us.

@@RyanMyersExpeditions ​ @Ryan Myers wow dude, kinda sketchy. on shoredives in tropical waters i always put them on my float thats either achored on the spot that i spear or connected to my gun via floatline. you guys got tigers in hawaii, i would not want to have one one coming from behind going for my catch on my belt. on the european atlantic coast i also put them on my belt all day long but there are no dangerous sharks close to shore, ever. One more thing: i do know all those species you guys are hunting, but the hawaiian nomenclature is pretty hard to follow for spearos from anywhere else in the world that have not spent time in hawaii or are beginners... maybe you throw in the "conventional" names a lottle more often? it would make your videos not the slightest bit less professional:) just saying. amazing content you produce here Ryan. Just keep going pushing through it. I used to throw up almost every dive. Then eventually I just stopped getting sick I guess my body just got used to the motion. Now I can go out in anything and I’m cherry.

Hey Ryan! Great video definitely enjoyed it! Quick question, do you have your gopro rolling the entire dive? or do you switch it off and on, and if so how do you make it last that long?

I have my go pro set to one touch mode which means when I turn it on it also starts recording. I usually film every dive turning it on at the beginning and end. I can almost film a full session like this if I’m careful but lately I e been stashing another go pro in my suit and swapping them out after one dies. Can also use the extra one to film stuff happening around me.

What size bands do you use? Shot my GT Carbon Roller 120 today and there seemed to be a lot of muzzle movement and kick. Doesn’t seem to shoot as smoothly as your 120 you’re using. It’s currently the factory set up. Maybe its missing the muzzle weight? Any thoughts you may be willing to share would be greatly appreciated. 🤙🏼
