The beacon has no preferred tool to break it, so using the pickaxe to break it is kinda pointless, as it breaks either with your hand or a sword anyway. But having the illusion to have to have a pickaxe to even be able to break it is very bad, I mean in singleplayer, you can also break it with your hand and it still drops it.

Each time they say "we need a pickaxe quickly" but they don't know that they can break it with their hands. They once left a base cuz they didn't have a pickaxe. And it is obvious that they are pre recorded, they do it all in 1 day, they literally have to stop when the timer runs out.

I'll start off this thing by what I love about your channel and how I found it. I've always been a fan of minecraft youtubers and minecraft videos, especially modded games as I've never had a good pc to play mc on(always been console player). A lot of times I normally just like watching people play, I do fancy something different in the mc universe and oh how I was excited when I found your channel. I do believe that it was Hide or Hunt that I first found while watching other mc YTs, it wasn't the first season or episode, but I clicked it because the thumbnail(which all of them on your channel are very nice and interesting btw, very good for attracting viewers. You get one golden star for the creativity and importance of fulfilling an alluring thumbnail!). Was hooked almost right away. I believe I watched that entire season and then just stopped for some reason, but eventually came back because of KZbin's video recommendations. I watched a few more seasons of HoH then Modded Factions/War was found, I can remember one of the first episodes I clicked, Minecraft War #6(changed your skin to trick enemies) and Raven basically gave you a tour of a plot of land that was going to be a casino before dragging Sword over). Yet again, I found a different type of mc content that I liked and went straight for the playlist and binged the entire series under 2 weeks! This was also when I was working, so needless to say, I didn't sleep to well for a few of those days and I honestly didn't mind it. There were quite a few unforgettable moments and episodes that really gave me quite a laugh! So far I believe that both episodes where there was a court case involving Keith the sheep or relative sheep were my favorite. I know, not too much action in them but the humor both episodes had tickled me so much, nearly had me in tears on both of them! I think that the next favorite actual war episode was a recent one, not good with remembering titles and rip Sword's base, but I absolutely loved when you went barreling through the dark woods and through Sword's base in a tank saying give me Raven. That episode was quite a 'blast' lol. Some people have a bit of mixed feelings on it, but I absolutely loved every bit of it! Though if I'm being honest, in my current (subject to change depending on how this new season goes) my favorite Season of Minecraft modded/war so far has to be what I call the CaptainAGaming Arc. Yes, the season where you started out evil and forcing people to pay you then later pretty much becoming a hero to the people at spawn. From Doom Squad to Spawn Squad, that season! I loved it so much that just a few days ago I went back and rewatched it, so many unexpected turns, betrayals, a whole base goes missing, a lot of enemies become allies, built some really cool airships and massive bases, the trolls, Raven's motivational speech, getting captured, and making people pay you actually worked! The game shifted so unexpectedly and out of nowhere multiple times yet it remained consistent with the entirety of the show, you always had someone who opposed you and kept the tension on but not overly so. There was always some battle to be had or some job that needed done, and when things got tough like losing the secret Headquarters/vault and the things therein you had something to fall back on. Adaptability was key and I noticed how much better you are of doing it in this recent season, maybe not so much in the old modded factions but you're definitely better at handling newer and dire situations of later episodes. And I must applaud Jtom and Sword for keeping with you to the end of that season because I was almost certain that one or the other was going to betray you and deliver you into enemy hands, there was just so much beef with them early season, but like (most) of your allies, they came through. I know I don't see most of the people you used to hang with in the newer seasons, but I am glad that some still stick around and continue to make things interesting! I love them all, especially Raven! (I love you too Cedge [this is a jealousy free zone]!) And CaptainAGaming, don't know how he's doing or what he's moved on to but he's one smart cookie, I must give him applause for not only all of his achievements, cheekiness, and one step ahead plans, but also that battle arena with the sand cage! By far one of my most favorite battles, I know there's been many, especially with planes, helicopters, ships, tanks, and bombs, but I like the good old fashioned foot-gun battles that require skill and on the moment decisions. That was one epic fight, an unforgettable moment. I know a lot of people were upset of how you were captured and there was no huge fight at the end, but I say the whole unexpected homemade nuke deliveries were very impressive and being caught by surprise was to me was a real thrill! You don't need a massive fight when the game does a 180 by a mastermind in one quick move! I only wished that someone would have made an attempt to rescue you, now that would have been quite interesting. Either way, nuking the Justice HQ was good enough for me! Okay, enough rambling over what I love, time to down with the meat of this Critique thing. For starters, I would like you to know that I am 100% completely unqualified to be a critic for any youtubers content as I myself don't even post videos nor help others with creator content. I have absolutely no training nor certifications to even begin to be a critic or for anything really, nothing at all! That's right, I'm a sham, a fake critic, just a fan that wants to share some input! I'm doing this pretty much for fun, as not only to give credit where it is due, but also help in shedding some insight on what tiny percentage I am of your viewership/subscribers(which I have waited for this exact day for almost a month just to subscribe on your Birthday! Happy birthday btw! I would donate some money if you ever livestream again) I can probably guess the main range of fans that watch the show, and I don't think I'm a part of it. For starters I am 28 years old(probably one of the oldest fans you have, I'll be 29 in May... wow I feel too old -_-) and to top it off I am a woman, yeah definitely not a part of the main viewership range but that's fine ...right? I am also an American so... Hahahaha... I'll just laugh it off as I secretly cry in a corner ;-; (jk) But yeah, now you know like 1 of 630,000+ subscribers! Or like 0.00001% of subscribers(totally not accurate percentage). Anyway, let's look at content quality. Wow, I went back to old moded factions/war/hide or hunt and even watched trolling hackers(love em) and a few factions vids(which I'm not too crazy about tbh) and I can certainly say that there is a major difference. Video quality has improved immensely as well as sound quality and visual effects, even in game quality is refined. I'm assuming you have optifine, which is a must for minecraft youtubers nowadays. But you know, it's not just effects and visuals/edits. Your editing has greatly improved, in fact my favorite video with added effects and editing was a recent one from this year. I do believe it was the war episode #17 where you put out Framed's base after Raven set it on fire, I loved the edit even if it wasn't much, the music was absolutely superb and as an added bonus I got a good laugh whenever you guys killed someone the server crashed. Also cannot forget the epic effects of Jerry! Lol. I like the overall music choices that you use for your videos as well, always got a good tune for the right moment! I don't know how much time you spend on the videos or if you have someone else doing the edits, regardless the content is refined and on a near proficient level in my opinion. There's still room for improvement but I wouldn't worry about that anytime soon as I believe your current work is wonderful enough as it is now! Personality. The second key to keeping subscribers and the viewership as a whole(content is number one), Your personality is attractive! Now slow down! That might not seem like something that important to a channel, but nothing keeps me more entertained and joyous than someone who can just record an episode of mc war, lose an entire bunker with goods and still put a smile on their face. Someone who just gets backstabbings left and right and won't let it tear them down. I applaud you good sir! I must admit that growing up I was a sore loser(weren't we all at some point?) I was used to being better than my older sister, when we played video games i was better most of the time, when it came to outdoor activities i was better most of the time, but when it came to smarts i would fall flat on my face. When it came down to a simple game of 'Spoons' (I guess some crazy American card game dealing with real spoons) it is a simple and easy game, get 4 of the same cards then grab a spoon from the center of the table. If there are 4 players then there would only be 3 spoons and each round when someone failed to grab a spoon they'd be out and a spoon is removed. Anyway, one time I got so angry at my sister because she snatched up my spoon that I grabbed her by the back of the head then slammed her face into a table. I was salty then, also like 15 years old(she still doesn't trust me this day lol ). I couldn't handle that kind of loss, and when I opened a minecraft realm and a group of people started griefing the server because they were caught duping had me in a tizzy(just last year). I reset what I could but not all damage could be undone because all my older backup saves were corrupted from a mc update, I wanted to scream because of the drama it created with other players that would not stop messaging me. I don't know your limits Ryan, but I'm glad that you can still dish out content and not go bananas over some of the things that happen(banana). Also, you're almost always In an uplifted mood(thanks to facecam we can tell) either that or your voice is always in a good pitch when recording it seems, I like that. Sometimes I have a long boring or tiring day at work, that's factory life for ya, but it's nice when I get home and shortly after see that you posted a video and your in an upbeat mood, it's a good change to my day, especially during summer working late in an air condition less factory where it always feels like summer even during winter. I don't know when you chose to do facecam but I'm glad you did. For one you're not ugly, two seeing the face behind the screen sometimes just makes the video better. I like watching reactions, and I feel a growing attachment to the person on the screen as time passes. Your overall personality is lovely, I like the humor bits too as I am a fan of humor in general! I wish Sword and Raven would facecam more, they also have great personalities but rarely show themselves except on livestreams and barely so; they too have lovely faces. I wonder if Twin/TG/Framed/Yellowool will ever facecam? Have they? Facecam is definitely not a necessity, but it's nice to see. Thank you Ryan for being able to contain yourself in your posts, may you always be one happy nugget! And lastly, Creative Content. The meat on the table, the stuff that keeps people coming back for more. The crown of a channel, the enchanted diamond armor set that puts all iron sets to shame. Nothing brings me back to a youtuber like content, now I still come back if I like the person behind the channel, but creative content is the Holy Nugget in this case! I will admit right now in all honesty, if your channel had 'only' been factions, skyblock, and catching hackers then I might have never got into your channel. There is so many videos of these done by many different youtubers, it's difficult to find newer types of mc content unless I'm directly looking for it. Now don't get me wrong, I like catching/trolling hackers, but skyblock and factions however just doesn't interest me as much. It's the same game over and over again, now not judging because I used to play the same video games for years with no actual rewards or changes. But that was the younger me, now I like a change of pace, something I don't expect to see or something new! This is why I like mc YTs Dream, GeorgeNotFound, Fundy and ect; these guys literally code minecraft and change the game entirely in some cases like a chunk they enter into slowly gets deleted, stacked mobs, or gravity to all blocks, or it rains fire, siamese twins, even no real change, just one friend trying to stop the other from beating the game. But that's what they do. There's also YTs that interact/troll with players on their servers like Skeppy or Spifey, or awesome builders creating magnificent things like Mumbo Jumbo's moving redstone powered house. When it comes to you however, the crown of the content I enjoy from you the most is Modded/war and Hide or Hunt, HoH maps are always new, team numbers and even solos have been wonderful. I'm glad you guys went with a trio setup this time, it's certainly new and the team you have in it i had been wanting since I began watching HoH a few months back. I sometimes still rewatch old HoH because I love it, I sometimes wonder what a good hiding place would be, you guys went bold this time just saying. Modded/War is my absolute favourite thing about your channel, I in no way support real war, but I love to watch you guys come together and what moves and choices you make, what scenarios you create, what you plan to be for that season and if you'll make a change or betray or go down fighting. Its war! It's never the same story. There's always something different going on(and if I'm being honest again I would have loved to see how your second attempt at being evil would have turned out, you know, covering the world in lava. The last episode stopped when you discovered that Geky was betraying you but I'm assuming for life reasons it was cut short #RIPNUGGET.) But because there's always something different, I'm drawn to it. Loyalties are tested, who will make the move first, who will fire the first missile, who has the bigger army, who holds the power, who will betray, who will join, who will keep true to their character to the end, who will change? All these questions and much more to ask.

I have to say Ryan, don't know where you picked up modded factions/war idea from but it is definitely going to lead to an epic story. It has for each completed season yet! Just please never do another permanent death season again, the battle with YelloWool killed it when you died(it was a fun series), funeral was sadly hilarious but I didn't want it to end so abruptly. I can understand if it's at seasons end, but no more during season so we don't have to watch Toxic or you get buried again. That was awful, yet also hilarious. I will also make mention that I love your TNT wars, I've noticed that you don't really do them anymore, but the playing field can always be changed(like the Battleship boardgame) and it normally comes down to a pvp finish anyway, would love to see those again(usually the part of factions that I enjoy is the tnt cannons, they're always so nice, and sometimes crazy huge.) A mention also goes to your Defend the Castle idea. I don't remember the youtuber, but one guy I watched about a year or so ago had an event where him and his friends literally built a castle in a mountainside and rigged it with traps, were geared up, had weapons and bows, and had to defend the castle for a set amount of time and if they failed then players would get the loot. They could all respawn in the base but had to get geared again and fought to keep the castle safe, it was certainly a spectacle to behold. I would still like to see something like that. Just would have to have admins on to watch for hackers lol. In conclusion, you're certainly deserving of the KZbin title, but definitely deserving of more subscribers! The past two months of mc content has been such a blast to watch, I just can't wait until 4 pm on my timezone to watch your next video! Now don't think that I am asking for a post, sometimes life or health is far more important and they should be a higher priority as is other things, but when you do post; just know that I'll be ready! So in all, don't think of this comment as criticism, because there was barely anything of the sort; but think of it as a letter from a fan who wants you and your friends to know that you and them are greatly appreciated and loved. Not only do I appreciate you guys but I'm sure I also speak for a good number of fans who watch your videos. I would know this because I scroll through and read comments as I watch the videos. I don't know if you'll ever find or read this letter, but I hope you do because you're worth every word of it. It took a few hours to compile thoughts and get them all into one written piece, but I was willing and was happy to reflect on what I love and what makes you a good youtuber. I will probably write one for Raven or Sword next because why not share what I like about mc youtubers?
