I've got an MSF. Studying for my CFA 1 now , to be taken on November 16th, 2021. Here's what I have to say ; I suggest people who can should get an MSF first. That makes the study material for the CFA pretty understandable, because what you are studying, you've already learned in the MSF program.
@RyanOConnellCFA3 жыл бұрын
Getting an MSF before the CFA also made it much easier for me! But on the flip side I felt like I spent a lot of time going over stuff I'd already learned

I'm debating on an MBA with a concentration in Finance vs a Masters in Finance. I have my BA in Busines Admin with a focus in Finance, but I honestly feel like I didn't learn a lot... like they teach you a little about every business topic, but you essentially become a jack of all trades and a master of none. And because of that, you quickly forget what little you learned. I feel like focusing entirely on Finance would be more beneficial.

That is a very big decision. Specialization can really pay off. I've heard MBAs are typically valued higher by companies than MSFs but MSFs are typically cheaper and quicker (less credit hours). You can't go wrong either way but it is a tough choice

Thank you! Please take my answer with a grain of salt as I have only done an MSF and not an MBA in Finance. And if your VBA code works properly, they dont even need to understand how it works. 2. SQL - A lot of finance jobs require you to manage and manipulate databases.
