You make this look so easy and seamless. *smiles* I love your 10 minute painting lessons. I learn so much from you. I love acrylics. They have the intensity of an oil and no chemicals needed to clean the brush. I was wondering if you used the same brush for the entire sky or use different brushes for different mixtures of colour?

Hi, thank you for sharing. I am having trouble with the waves and reflection. Don’t you think the reflection would be in a straight line from the sun and not turned toward the shore.
@RyanORourkeArtist6 жыл бұрын
When painting this I did so with the assumption that a good deal of the water would receive a highlight. However, the right side is slightly darker due to the shadow cast from the landmass in the middle ground. With that said If you wanted to create a small, more centralized reflection it wouldn't look incorrect :) Have fun with it!

Thanks,what medium do you use to make the paint so fluently
@RyanORourkeArtist6 жыл бұрын
I actually don't use any additional mediums. I do however ensure that my brush is almost always damp. This keeps the pigment/brush wet for a longer period of time and allows me to drag paint farther :)

The 10 minute paintings are generally pretty quick. This series was created to quickly capture a scene/mood and demonstrate some of the larger techniques for those who don't have a lot of free time. With that said, I do have 1-3 hour long lessons on the channel where we take things a lot slower and really dive into the details. I would recommend checking those newer videos out :)
