I subscribe to many KZbinr sites dealing with vehicle content. I really look forward to your updates of the Camaro. I can only take so much of detailing jobs on the Nastiest and dirtiest cars ever. Your content always draws me in and never use the fast forward button. Keep up the great videos.

Good to see you again Ryan. 475 hp, that baby is going to fly. Enjoyed the video very much. When time allows, gift us old car guys another video, be safe young man.

Ryan, it’s great to hear from you! When the video first showed your engine on the dyno I was thinking 450 to 475 hp and I’m glad it tuned out on that upper end! I certainly hope that you’re driving it by now and get to put a few miles on it before it snows. I’ve watched every video that you’ve posted on KZbin about this car and it’s definitely a great car and it couldn’t have been rebuilt or restored no better by an individual that’s not in the restoring business. If you ever decide to sell it, it should bring top dollar!!! Thanks for letting me enjoy your build!

SWEET! The motor finally arrived! I've been "like you" waiting so long for this day. I've watched every video on the Camaro. The first day you took it out of the barn, to the present day. Dyno showed ya pushing 426 Hp? Back in the day I use to date woman that was that fast. Sorry for the flash back. Can wait for the day you and your wife go for your first high way drive.

It's a beast bro. It's one of the best feelings in the world to hear your engine firing up for the first time after finishing a build. I know all about the push rod length measuring, it's a royal pain. I put a Brain Tooley Racing stage 2 V2 Truck cam in my 5.3 2000 Silverado. New Morel lifters, mildly ported and polished, plus lapped all new valves in another set of heads to go back on. Really a pain to measure push rods when the engine is still in the vehicle. I had to get 10- 7.350 and 5- 7.375 and 1- 7.325 length pushrods. When dealing with LS engines you have to get the length perfect to work with the lifter preload due to non-adjustable rocker arm design. Next up, TBSS/NNBS intake, Holley Sniper 90mm throttle body, 36 pound flex fuel injectors. Already have all the needed parts and I can't wait to put them on !!! I have been tuning like crazy with my HPTuner that I have. You should also put a AEM air/fuel ratio gauge in to keep an eye on things. Do it now, before the install. Just have to weld a O2 sensor bong in the header or collector pipe. Don't rush things now, so close, but yet so far away. Later brother.

It is a surreal feeling for sure when you first hear it. Dang I hated dealing with the pushrod measurements on this simple sbc engine let alone an LS! Nice, you are getting close! Half the battle is getting parts in now a days so thats great you have pretty much everything👌

I bought a Skip White 383 stroker a few years ago for my 71 Z-28. It will get away from you if your not careful. I think you will be happy with Skip White products.
@RyanSampsonRPh3 жыл бұрын
Yeah everything was good except that balancer, I just got a different one but had to match the balance which could have been bad if we didn’t catch it. Other than that I was happy with their products!

@@RyanSampsonRPh My 383 short block from skip white was internally balanced and therefore didn't use the counterweight. I'm surprised yours isn't the same way.

well 472 hp is a nice streetible amount. anymore its just a waste and alot of wheel spin. my best friend has a 2019 gt mustang with 460 hp quad cam coyote engine and after adding the roush cold air system it has 496 aprox. almost too much but with traction control and the 10 speed auto it does just great. computer limits speed to 160. the 10 speed will yank a knot in you neck at every shift
@oldsmanmike28033 жыл бұрын
Sounds like a marvelous street engine, great torque! Your going to need bigger tires if you want to try a drag race. Was the molded clay you showed us measuring the gap from the middle of the air cleaner to the hood? Did you check the hood clearance at the front top edge of the air cleaner to the hood as well? Depending on how the hood slopes downwards this could get closer to that front edge of the air cleaner. Hopefully your hood does not make that a problem but wanted to mention it. I guess you will find out as you do the final install. Here is a person that shows an air cleaner housing for a big block that is very low, with like a 3 inch recess, just in case you need to make some more room. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6fVinZ9rK2grq8

Looks great, I was a bit surprised that the HP was so low. I have run many small blocks 327s, 302s, and 350s, in street cars never had a chance to dyno the 327s, but most 302s and 350s were over 600 HP, well done.
@RyanSampsonRPh3 жыл бұрын
I was hoping for a little over 500hp but I stuck with a smaller cam for a little better drivability so that is most likely the reason 🙂
