You should almost never use acetone to remove prints on lego. Even a small amount starts to melt them. On areas you want to just completely remove all print you should use a hard eraser. That way you don't eat away the plastic.

I would make the Thing a big figure. But as far as a set goes the Fantastic Car would be cool it looked like a flying bath tub with four seats . The four sections would then be able to seperate. Cool looking figures .

The suits are fucking awesome, but in the concept art I don't like how there outfits aren't all the same and there different, they are a team so I think they should all have the same suit with MINOR details that are different but that's just my opinion think what you want

Okay, so after watching, some small notes. When Johnny is in Flame On mode, his body is still human-esque. I think the idea of what you did with his legs makes sense, but unless the movie bases their looks solely on the very early Jack Kirby drawings of the character, his legs should be defined Lego legs. With Ben, I think a bigfig would've been a better choice. In the comics he's always quite large and while he occasionally does wear clothes, they usually only drape around him (like his iconic trenchcoat and hat). I like Herbie, but I think you should look at how he is shown in Lego Marvel Superheroes. He's quite silly, so I think he may be more along the lines of that for the film. I think for Reed and Sue you did great!! Of course my main note is that I do not actually think these are the final costumes for them. I think because this is just a cast announcement poster they really leaned into the aesthetic to let us know what decade the film will take place in. In the comics their uniforms are always very sleek because Reed invents a material called "Unstable Molecules" which then most super heroes go on to use for their uniforms as they can transform without being damaged. Most likely they will look more like John Krasinskis Reed from MoM with maybe a bit less line detailing. Overall, good work! You don't even know how excited I am to get some officially licensed Lego Fantastic Four sets!!!

While some of this is correct you did make some mistakes. Ben is big but he's not big fig sized, he's usually around 6'0 tall and sometimes even shown to be shorter than Reed. He's buff but not big. And Reed and Sues suits shown in the image are actually their final suits however Johnny and Ben have different suits in the film.

Not sure where you're getting that information, but if we look at any incarnation of Ben from John Byrne to the modern day, he's always shown to be much larger than Reed. He's only shown to be shorter when Reed is stretching himself to become taller. While he's not as big as the Hulk, he is as big as other Big Fig characters, such as the Juggernaut and Blob. There are multiple instances in the comics of Ben going to 'Big and Tall' clothing stores, where he has to get stuff specially made. I would also check out the past two runs of the comics. Both Ryan North and Dan Slott show Ben as much larger than the rest of the FF. He's not huge, but he is larger. Definitely not Minifigure size. I'm also not sure where you got your information about their uniforms. It's hard to tell from the set leaks about Reed and Sues uniforms, but if that's what Ben and Johnny's look like, logic implies that Reed and Sue will follow a similar fashion, as uniforms tend to be uniform. If you're privvy to some insider info about the suits, I'd love to hear about it, as I'm a massive FF fan.

@@logang.daitch8786 while artists since have taken creative liberties and made Ben Grimm huge to help differentiate him from the team. He is canonically 6'0 tall and 500 pounds. While Reed Richards is canonically 6'1. This comes from the original Kirby drawings where The Thing is around the same size as the rest of the team, and other sources like the official Marvel anatomy book and different Marvel encyclopedias. Again different artists have taken creative liberties to make him much larger just as a visual to represent his strength. But canonically he is shorter than Reed. And in terms of the costumes, while no look at the costumes have released about Reed and Sues outside of this concept art. They also released Concept Art of Johnny in his flame form where he looks similar to Reeds suit. However the most absolute price of info about how he will look in the film is a special look released at D23 which showed the cast saying hello to fans while filming a scene. However Johnny is actually shown in his suit in this special look. He has dyed blonde hair and a suit made from the same materials as Reed and Sue however his suit is darker and has a different white pattern on his upper torso. He also has white and black gloves. And as for Ben a behind the scenes pick leaked that showed the stand in costume they had for filming, it was a practical costume of The Thing where he was wearing the same suit as Johnny but with lighter colors. The movie will likely be doing the theme where all 4 members have the same general look but with their own takes on the costumes. Seeing as you can see the collar of the suit in the original concept art it's fair to assume the concept art is a good representation of the characters final suits in the film, Johnny and Ben are just wearing clothes over theirs.

I don't know a lot about the Fantastic 4 but I'm pretty invested in customs and I gotta say, those designs are clean! I would have loved to see a gradient fading from the fire to the shirt on the torso of the Human Torch minifig and I agree with most of what RepublicStuds said. Awesome job with these Ryan!

I think the thing should be new pieces that are roughly Hagrid sized because The Thing is not nearly as big as the Hulk or Thanos but is noticeably bigger than a normal human, like 7ft tall as opposed to 12ft tall

Have toy seen the CR009-CR012 Build a Figure Thing? That whole line is like Big Fix Torsos that taper into Mini Fig legs for characters that are burly without being giant. It's one of the cooler Flego innovations from recent memory.

The boots of Mr. Fantastic looks hand-painted and already chipping/rubbing off. You could've masked the area you don't want to be painted and then lightly sand the part you want to paint with fine grit sandpaper. Use a rattlecan (or airbrush if you have it) for the paint instead of hand-painting. You might also want to spay primer first before the white.
