Hope thumb heals up quickly. When I was 12 years old I had a riding lawnmower run over my foot. It cut the end off my big toe off. Fortunately a doctor was able to sew it back on. I worked in a meat department of a grocery store for a while everyone working there had part or all of a finger missing. I don’t do well with sharp objects 😂

I lived in San Diego back in the 90s while stationed there in the Navy. We did a day trip to Julien once and wow, the place hasn't changed a bit. Straight up THE BEST apple pie I've ever had in my whole life! 30 years later I still remember just not being able to stay out of the whole one we bought until it was all the way gone. I've been a nurse now for 17 years. Pretty much nothing bothers me anymore. Prior to that, I straight up fainted twice at the sight of blood. Something about it being your own personal blood makes it a lot worse ;)

Hey Ryan! Black pepper is an excellent coagulant. Pour it on the wound and it will help the bleeding stop faster. It doesn’t sting, the only part is once it’s stuck to the wound, washing it off. But even that isn’t bad.

*vasovagal syncope* When your blood pressure and heart rate drop in response to a stress/trauma and ya feel faint. Nothing you can do about it, hard wired. I have a dorm room washer I take camping or on vacation. It’s good to wash my socks and under garments. It’s small so it can’t wash jeans. But some bottoms and a shirt, one by one. It’s perfect when I need something clean. I also just let it air dry. My original one was a hand crank one and it breaks down into a small space. Later I got a small electric one that collapses down too. I wash rags and makeup clothes in there too. 😬

Simple cutting technique and safety tip for you bro: When you're cutting, put the points of your fingers pointed down and towards your palm. Then use your knuckles against the side of the blade to keep the blade away from your hand while you do the cutting motion. The knuckles will protect you.

@matty.f Жыл бұрын
@@app103 they arent huge and could probably fit in between his sliding door and the step. Like I said, it is a bit bulky, but it would serve a practical purpose so he wouldnt have to go out of his way to find a laundromat.
@app103 Жыл бұрын
@@matty.f A couple of nesting 5 gallon buckets and a sturdy nylon net bag would serve the same purpose, too, for far less money. Fill with soapy water and clothes (to soak) before going to bed, then rinse in the morning and swing them in the nylon net bag to spin the excess water out. Then just hang on a clothes line strung between the 2 rear doors, till dry. BONUS: If the buckets have lids, they can double as both storage and extra seats, when needed.

For the part of your counter that is peeling off, contact cement should stick it back down till you can invest in a better, more long lasting solution. Ultimately, you'd probably want to cover the edge with a stainless steel countertop trim kit. If you did that, it would last longer than the van. The stainless steel trim installed on my kitchen counters have lasted almost 70 years, so far.

In terms of not slicing half your finger off - Do yourself a favour and get a decent cutting board and a full size chefs knife to start. The best way to cut is to hold the knife by the metal on the hilt of the blade and have the side of the knife against your proximal digital knuckle(s). If you need to cut higher just lift you wrist so your front three fingers and the distal knuckle of your middle finger meets the blade (pull your finger tips in). - I did a 4 year sentence in silver service/kitchens
