Great video, thanks! If I may add one small point for older riders that want to go easy and tour the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (GDMBR), not the TD Race, the Adventure Cycling route does not go up and over Koko Claims mine area. You can stay on the main Great Divide route and skip Koko claims for an easier, safer, scenic route. ☮

Anyone that completes even part of that race is a badass in my opinion 👍 My personal bike is a Salsa Cutthroat, designed to do that route and I don’t think I would subject it, or myself to it 😳 Thanks Ryan, looking forward to seeing the rest of your journey, and even though it ended before you would have liked, I think it was a hell of an accomplishment.

Your natural talent is to ride far, document, encourage, and share. You could be really fast if you quit doing those things and trained hard... but this is way better. :) You're fast enough already anyway. Even though you dropped out, this is some of the best footage of the race I've ever seen. I say do it again next year and remember to not race pace it. You'll probably go faster and 5x more likely to finish anyway.

Ryan, your efforts to show your creative filming and interviews = building a community. We all look forward to your future adventures. You could create a company called "Ryan's Adventures" offering customized guided adventures to small groups around the world. A group of 5-6 friends new to bike packing hire you to guide them and teach them what you have learned from 20+ years of adventures anywhere in the world. Your future is very bright my friend. We have never met but your inspiration from running, biking, and the passion to just get out their makes me feel like we're friends in a wired, strange kind of way. The world is sort of strange so a great fit. Thanks again for your content, truly , truly appreciated!!🎉

We really are enjoying watching you and looking for any clues of what is coming for your butt. We think you should start a biking blog where you go to a variety of the different bike races and interview participants like you are doing on this one. Where are they from, how did they get into it, what is the biggest challenge, etc. tell us about these different events, how to qualify, how they train, what is it like to travel internationally to participate, etc. could even cover races in Europe. Your interview skills are outstanding and you show such an interest in people!

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23) For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (Matthew 16:26) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)
