For the all ignorant people out there here is a simple comparison: Matey Kaziyski has 3.79m spike and he's only 2.02m. Dmitriy Muserskiy is 2.19m and has only 3.74 spike....do the math. Too bad for Bulgaria that Matey wasn't in our team today, 9/7/2014...it would be Bulgaria-Russia 3:0...period.

so, i did the math and Matey has a higher jump, its pretty impressive... Dimitry is taller. for a middle, that is an advantage for Dimitri because he cannot always use his whole jump, particularly when blocking. they are both great players, Dimitri is very clever as a player, and because he is so tall, he jumps late, still gets up, and often goes around the blocks, but is so tall he can hit angle and still hit down. same thing when hitting a B at the last moment. I prefer Dimitry myself, but each to his own. For the record though, the rest of the Russian team is pretty fantastic, I am not Russian, but I am a fan of Russia, because I think they are good, not the other way around. While Bulgaria is reasonable, it has been a long time since they were anywhere near comprable... Period. Sorry to be short with you, but to first call people other people ignorant, and then to claim that Bulgaria could ever be the favorite over Russia any time this year, is just making yourself a laughing stock on the internet.

The winner is Viktor Poletaev, he is taller and jumps a couple cm higher than Nishida. He is also more skilled in hitting angles using his wrist.
