Dune 1 was not great. Visually, it was stunning. But the fight scenes were weak, the main character being a leader/ fighter didn’t add up, and the movie ends without any real conclusion.

The fight scenes were weak? Hard disagree on that one- mamoas fight scene is one of the best moments from either and Paul’s at the end was awesome. Yes, the first one has no conclusion but that’s because it’s a part one and it’s not a standalone movie but it’s really easy to see and understand the entire story by watching both parts. Dune part 1 was great, especially after being able to revisit it after seeing part 2

@@michaelbailey8850 if you need to see another movie to justify the first, you’re proving my point that #1 wasn’t good. For example, Lord of the Rings 1 was incredible on its own. They didn’t just stop at some random moment and leave the audience confused and dissatisfied like this Dune 1 did.
