I’m 4:15 minutes in and I’m a bit scared, I’ve grown up my whole life with it on the right and driving on the left and it must be very difficult to swap completely, if I were driving in America I would go 10x crazier than this!!

I had a conversation about US driving and UK driving with my boss yesterday whilst he was driving us to a conference. I moved to the US from the UK in February and told him I’ve never driven an automatic car, only manual, and it’s weird driving on the opposite side of the road. I don’t have a US/California drivers license, only UK, so might be worth having an instructor help me flip things in my brain. You’re young, and only had your license a couple of years, you can adapt. I’ve had mine 14 plus years and only driven in the UK, I’m stuck in my ways.

There will come that one AMAZING day when we see them take a trip to Manchester, they will rent a car and they will then see, the TRAMS on the road WHILE they are driving and it will just be amazing!! It’s difficult for a person who has grown up in Manchester to drive on the roads let alone people who are new to the uk!! If this ever happens I will be terrified for your life, and also super excited to see how it goes:) though if you ever did come to Manchester than you would just take the tram, a lot speedier, you can get anywhere in half the time that a car would:)

I’m glad Rach acts like my mum; to this day my mum freaks out when I drive IN MY CAR I PAY FOR and I’ve had my license since I was 17, I’m 32. My dad however is pretty chill, he’ll tell me about his day/football scores/how his potatoes are doing in the garden, with ‘mind this idiot, apparently he doesn’t know how to drive; slow down a bit more at this roundabout Wain (he’s Irish), they come out at all junctions without stopping’ thrown in.

I’m so excited to pick it up and here in McCall Idaho you can get your permit at 14 in a half . And you can get your license when you are 16 .
