The amount of escape the fate jabs in this song are unreal and shows how good he is at writing lyrics. It's worth checking out the history and beef between him and escape the fate that used to be. They even had a bury the hatchet tour together years later.

This songs about Escape the Fate. The line" this war is mine" is a reference to the escape the fate song this war is ours which was the first album they releases after dropping ronnie

This song is really soooo deep. Diss to ETF, yes, but I think through the chorus he’s really speaking to his best friend at the time, who he started ETF with, Max Green. “I will never spill my blood for you, you have let me down one too many times” The fight Ronnie went to that eventually led to his prison sentence was a fight in defense of Max Green. “One day they’ll see, it was always me”. Ronnie is who made ETF what it was. “Some way some how we’ve fallen out, caught in between my enemies “. Speaking to the break between Max and Ronnie. “I’ve learned that my fate is something I can’t escape “. Self explanatory. “This War is Mine”. First single off ETF’s first album after Ronnie was This War is Ours. Derek Jones, RIP, could growl like a MF’r. There are several lyrics/songs on that album that speak directly to Max Green (Caught Like A Fly anyone? That was HARSH). You could tell how much not only getting kicked out of ETF hurt Ronnie, but more specifically how hurt and betrayed he felt by his best friend, who he considered a brother. I always wondered, when Max Green did bass on the Drug In Me Is Gold Tour, playing all the songs on this album, how hard that was for him to do those songs night after night. I’m so glad they’re friends again, and by the way, Max’s band Violent New Breed is worth a listen!

5:48 yes, at their live shows Tyler (the bass player) helps Ronnie out with screams and even singing at some points to give Ronnie a little bit of a break. Tyler is so talented and his vocals are amazing. In the studio version, it’s all Ronnie in multiple layers and recordings but live you’ll see them go back and forth kinda like how INK does their screams/cleans. About ALL members having microphones - yes most of them have one that will sing along when they can 😊

Great reaction. The screaming you hear on album recordings/official videos is all Ronnie. He just can't do it all alone live (even Ronnie has to breath sometimes) , so some band members take over part of the lyrics. At the moment Tyler Burgess, the bassist, does a lot of the backup vocals. Ronnie himself said, that Tyler could easily be a lead singer. This song is a break-up song with Escape The Fate. You should listen to the lyrics again, because it's impossible to catch all the little hints and jabs the first time. Can't wait for the next Falling in Reverse. You should watch the Mario Cart Race (it's just a short skit) and Game Over in one video, just to hear more of the fun side of Ronnie. Greetings from Germany

Love it! Derek Jones was the growler from the video, as Ronnie definitely utilizes his band for breaks from vocals/layering when live! On the studio recordings, it’s all Ronnie for vocal performance… in current day, he has a studio in his home that he records everything on! “I have learned that my Fate is something I can’t Escape” is one of many indirect disses from the song, let alone the whole album. Great reaction once again! If you want more from the album, Good Girls Bad Guys is the only video left to react to, but the rest of the album is amazing! Tragic Magic, Pick up the Phone, and Don’t Mess with Ouija Boards would be great lyric videos! And then Rolling Stone and Born to Lead are bangers to jump in to as well!

FINALLY !! This is such an epic banger !.Ronnie deff started where ETF left him on this one . This ( in my opinion ) is a total follow up song , that easily could have been on Dying Is Ur Latest fashion / No sympathy for the dead ! The lyrics " This War is Mine " is a direct diss too ETF That came out with an album in 2008 ( after Ronnie was kicked out , and was replaced by Craig Mabbit ) called " This War Is Ours ! Also he perfectly reminds them " One Day U see , It was always me " , and he was obviously right , since FIR quickly became bigger than ETF ever was , and still is ! The whole song is basically a neverending diss to ETF ! Ty for another great reaction to this band , Cheers ! Hope U will dig into / and react to the old ETF at some point , Their first album and Ep they made with Ronnie is awesome !

You guys didn't pick up on the best part of this - Escape the Fate had been clowning him in the media for YEARS while in prison. Their first album without him had "This War is Ours". Day 1 being free and back on the scene, Ronnie goes FULL JOHN WICK on those guys. "This is the end of you, this is where I draw the line, and I won't lose. THIS WAR IS MINE!" In 2011 the scene went NUTS the night this leaked. You could practically hear ETF hiding under the table listening to this reckoning, rage bomb headed their way. Track 2 - Tragic Magic went a step further and just banished Craig Mabbitt to the shadow realm. All in a matter of minutes. Such a great microcosm of the focused intensity they still bring today.

This was AWESOME!! It isn't something I would "pick" to listen to probably but, since watching reactions, and especially the ones y'all have done, FIR has really grown on me and become something that I get excited about watching y'all react to. All that being said, I have kind of lost the excitement over music from my younger days (late 70's/early 80's teenager here) but it's been coming back recently. Long story... sort of. My son and I were talking about the Christian rock band question on your community page the other day. He was trying to 'remind' me who RED was and referenced a song they did a cover of "Ordinary World". He said it was a Duran Duran song so he was SURE I would know it if I heard it. Well, he pulled up the DD version... I was listening... no bells going off at all. He said, "Wait for the chorus, Mom, you'll remember it". The chorus comes and goes... the song finishes... I am like "Nope, no bells, don't recall ever hearing it" So that led to a discussion of what I did listen to when they were popular... NOT Duran Duran!!! I listened to RUSH, Aerosmith, Boston, Eagles, Foreigner, Cheap Trick, Sammy Hagar, Heart, REO Speedwagon, Journey, Joan Jett, CCR... had cassette tapes from all of them!! LOL THAT made me miss those days so much that I am now looking up some of my old favorites so I can add them to my playlist. Teen years were all rock... early 20's was a combination of rock and a little country... really got into country in late 20's early 30's, even learned how to Two-Step and went to Billy Bob's of Texas (famous place here in Fort Worth, even in some movies) several times and saw great people/bands performing. THEN I went through the adult contemporary stage for a while, then got heavily into Christian contemporary and rock just after 'the turn of the century' (love using that!) and later was into everything by Josh Groban (obsessed with his voice!!!), have EVERY album he has released and even saw him in concert 5 times starting in 2011. Classic rock has always been there for me when I feel nostalgic. RAP was never on my list other than DC Talk when I got into Christian music, lol. Then my son got me to watch NF a few times and I saw a few reactions and, 2 years later, my music appreciation has exploded into something I never would/could have imagined. You guys have been a big part of that!! So, for that, I say THANK YOU!!
