So glad you guys did this!! (G)I-DLE (pronounced Idle), was the first group I explored outside of Blackpink and I was stunned. They just bring something different to KPop. Soyeon (the first girl you said you like her voice, and who also did the rap in the barbwire) is also a songwriter/producer for most of their tracks (many of the girls have taken a hand in it now). Should check out Brown eyed girls and Miss A if you are relatively new to kpop. They were around before BP and now Miss A disbanded but I don't need a man, hush, touch, good girl bad girl and their HUSH album is probably one of my all time kpop favs. But Brown eyed girls have been around before Girls generation I believe.. they still around and GA IN the main vocalist is a well established soloist too. Paradise lost is one of my all time favs from a soloist view but the group songs Brave new world, warm hole, sixth sense and kill bill are amazing. I suggest checking those two out for some matured sounds :)

Here is a quote from the leader Soyeon when she was asked about the meaning of the song since it kept using the pronoun "she": "I didn't want to limit that 'she' to a certain being or a certain definition," she says. "So it's open to anything. I believe that all kinds of love are valuable and must be respected. That's why I don't want to limit 'she' to something specific." This song has become a favorite for the LGBTQ+ community because even though Soyeon left it open to interpretation, it still connects with how a lot of the community feels persecuted by society's views on sin. If you look up and listen to the English version of this song, Soyeon made the lyrics more explicit and undeniably clear about a lesbian relationship 🌈

Some information about (G)I-dle - most of their music is produced and written by members of the group - and very specifically Soyeon (the rapper) which is not exactly common for women in k-pop. Other songs that I highly recommend are Senorita, Uh Oh, Lion, My Bag, Nxde, Hwaa. Their b-sides are insanely good too - $$$, put it straight (nightmare version from queendom), luv u, dark (x-file). Then Soyeon’s is this bad b*** number is a solo song featuring mi young ji and bibi. Yuqi’s solo Giant is amazing. And also, for another taste of Soyeon’s writing, venture to CLC - No.
