(How much?) and they will hesitate to over priced you because they are afraid you already live long enough in Indonesia and understand the real price. Yogyakarta is a fun city, been to this night market a few times, while it's small compared to the ones you find in Thailand, it's pretty nice to see all the people chilling near the trees, and putting on the blindfold to walk between the trees as is tradition there in Yogyakarta. Hard to rank places in Indonesia, but I would say Yogyakarta is equally a must see as is Bali for those who want a nice vacation or place to stay for a week or more, Taman Sari and Borobodur alone make the trip super worth it to Yogyakarta. For the other viewers, If you are a first time visitor, and go to Malioboro street then do not follow anyone wanting to show you "batik/gallery" as those are scams/cost far more than they are actually worth in the shops you can find around that street anyway, and also as others have mentioned, just use Grab or Gojek application if you want to take transportation rather than walk around, as you will pay the same as locals, especially if you have visited places like Thailand then you probably already have Grab installed.

If you want to visit the house of the king/sultan, you can go to the palace / Keraton near the north square, just to find out information about Javanese royal culture. If you want to know about Javanese Buddhist civilization, you can go to Borobudur Temple, which is one of the 7 wonders of the world. or to the Prambanan Temple of Javanese Hindu civilization. If you want a mountain atmosphere, you can go to Mount Merapi and if you want a beach atmosphere, you can visit Parangtritis / Parangkusumo, but you are not allowed to swim there. More careful.
