This couple is soo cute!!! I like Kaori as I can relate to her a lot with being kinda tomboyish and I act similar sometimes :3 and Ryo... That man can do WHATEVER he wants.. because he can act like a total dumbass but come out as a total epic badass by the end of every episode! MOKKORI!

I hope there is CITY HUNTER 5 and they are couples now and Ryo and Kaori have children and continues the business of Ryo as sweeper.. I love this CITY HUNTER but it's sad that is has stop after only 100+ episodes,, i hope there is more and more to come.

she did not die in City Hunter. She died in an alternate timeline separate from City Hunter in a shitty series called Angel Heart.

to make it angsty and I also suspect to avoid the complication of having Ryo actually married to Kaori. Angel Heart comes across like the creator wants to have his cake and eat it too but not let the fans have a slice of cake. He knows that at this point he has dangled fans along for years about the will Ryo and Kaori have a relationship plot thread so he had to give us something, but he wanted to keep Ryo available to be the mokkori fiend hitting on women which (in the creators mind) is integral to his character. His solution? Have Ryo openly in love and dedicated to Kaori but have her dead so he express his love, but not have Kaori there to receive it, so he keeps that aspect of his character alive of the mokkori man. We technically get what we want Ryo and Kaori together, but not really, and the status quo remains intact. Honestly I felt this was crap, but the creator did it.

She hasn't, she isn't dead, and if I ever find Mr. Hojo in a comic con he'll hear me scold him in broken Japanese about the fact that Kaori and Ryo only had one kiss in the manga and there was a glass wall between them!

@@Passions5555 Right! I'd rather have him cheating on Kaori or chasing other women and feeling guilty (or hammered) afterwards, than what happened in Angel Heart. If he could be halfway faithful when Kaori was alive, why should she die? I'm glad it's an alternate reality, but I still have the full manga and never got to the sexy stuff between those two. If he could write a seinen for Angel Heart, he could write a City Hunter seinen version. What's worse is that the companies are still making movies and the movies have the plot totally stagnant and stopped. Something must be done about that! I'll have to learn Japanese, though :-(
