I think there was a psychological conflict within Melvin during this fight, the bizarre movements and delaying pacing of Ryo seemed to have unsettled him

Really dont understand about the style. His stance was so far, even beyond his own reach. The head movement was very active but only when not in contact, looks like just for show. To me, it shows a lot of doubt. The KO sequence show it all, he was in doubt whether wants to shoot or not, and ended up offering his head to Manhoef.

Ryo Kawamura has an amazing style, completely unorthodox which allows you to strike while your opponent is essentially mesmerized, also your opponent cant telegraph your movements and will not be able to anticipate your next attack. Of course Manhoef is literally one of the best fighters of his era so he negated it with pure talent.
@moctezuma_2
@moctezuma_2 2 жыл бұрын
Stfu there's no tact to what Ryo is doing. It may throw someone off for a round or two, but it's in no way a good fighting style.
@umungus518
@umungus518 2 жыл бұрын
Nah he "negated" it by realizing he was doing the exact same move he just did a minute earlier and wasn't protecting himself whatsoever. The fact that you think this "style" is amazing shows how little you know about mma. This guy is a clown
@spearstrike211
@spearstrike211 2 жыл бұрын
lmfao uh, no. Nothing amazing about his style, and his record shows as much. Ryo is 18-10-4 overall, with his wins coming over cans while his losses came to anyone who was *actually* a decent fighter. Dude was not a good fighter in the slightest, nor did he have “pure talent”. He was as average as they come.
