Thanks for this, I’ve been umming and aahing about getting this chainsaw (as I’ve got a couple of Ryobi tools and a battery already) and it’s on offer just now. This has helped make up my mind (we have very similar dead trees on our smallholding, so this video was EXACTLY what I needed to see).

I happen to notice on the second tree you cut down; that your back cut was way too high. I'm pretty sure if it had been a live tree, you would have gotten into trouble. About an inch or two is all the thicker you want your hinge. Cheers.

You need to rock the saw back and forth a squidge whilst sawing .
