Since I have other Ryobi 40V tools I decided to get the 40V version of this pressure washer. It's my favorite new outdoor toy. I did a few smaller jobs and then decided to tackle my drive. It's large -about 16ft by 100ft. I'm finding that 3 fully charged batteries can do about 400 sq.ft of drive. At this rate it will take me about a week to do the entire drive. I realize the tool was never intended to be used in this fashion but it works great and gives me something to do in retirement. Thanks for your review.

I bought this Power Washer and love it. I had a 3.8L tank sprayer I use as a weed broadcast sprayer(pump pressure style). I disconnected the skinny wand sprayer that came with it, added a larger diameter hose to the tank and converted the end so that it fits directly to the Ryobi Washer Sprayer. Now I can spray weed killer so easily without manually pumping the tank. Just a FYI, the Gardena connectors are exact same as what's on the Ryobi.

Yeah I have now tried a HP battery and it made no difference, only reason I didn’t do a follow up video is because there was nothing to show.

Great review. Thank you. I bought mine last year & loved it. Just brought out this year and for whatever reason I used a bucket of water & tubing last year when I very easily could have used the garden hose. 🤦🏻‍♀️ so today I used the garden hose & it was great. Just ordered another battery from Amazon bc I only get get about 30 min washing time from one. Particularly on a high pressure. I did enjoy your review!!

looks like you did what I did with the bottle attachment. You over tightened it, I actually removed the rubber washer too and this caused an air tight seal so the bottle gets crushed from the pressure. I had to put the washer back in and make sure not to over tighten and now the bottle does not crush as the water gets used.

Ive actually had no problems with the bottle attachment so far, havent had any crushed bottles and have used it fairly regularly but will look out for this in the future.

Maybe crushed is not the best way to describe it but it's like when you vacuum seal all the air out of something, thats what happens when the washer is removed from the bottle attachment or its screwed on too tight

@@irweezyy ah, it still seems to be working at full pressure when using the bottle attachment and I’ve not had any crushed bottles yet so I cant see any issues unless I’m missing something. Again I’ve used it a hell of a lot and can’t say I’ve noticed anything detrimental.

@@stuartmartin093 okay then that makes sense. When I first set it up I noticed water leaked out of the bottle attachment so I removed the washer and over tightened it, which stopped leaking water but also stopped air flow, so the bottle would get all the air sucked out of it while in use.

you need to buy more tools! it will make your life better - less food, less recreation $$$, but buy more tools. Instead of spending $$ on wife/kids - buy tools. Routine car maintenance? put it off, buy tools. New credit card? max it out on new tools. Gift cards? buy more tools.

Im pretty sure they’re the same fitting for all accessories so happy days. Ive just ordered my first additional accessories and the brush is definitely the same for both, got the wheel brush and foamer/detergent dispenser which I will likely do a shorts for.

So of course having a long hose might not syphon water normally but how long could a hose be on one of these?. I had this idea of .maybe putting a water tank in trunk or a truck bed and maybe jus running one of these threw it , to clean cars with .. anyone know how that would work ?..

There's an 18v version and a 40v version, both claiming 600 psi - $159 vs $169 with battery (4ah and 2ah respectively) and charger. I'm curious which has the bigger impact on performance, the voltage or amp hour rating.

I cant speak on the 40v version as it isnt available here in the UK. However if they’re both 600psi id imagine it comes down to differences in water flow but overall performance will likely be very similar. Just an educated guess though.

Ryobi states that it is only a difference in the time a battery will last, no difference in performance. So a 4Ah 18V battery will last the same time as a 2Ah 40V battery (The 40V is actually 36V) was my conclusion. I was also debating if I should get the 18V or 36V version of it

Youve probably used it for the wrong purposes then. This is an 18v machine but both are 600psi so both should perform very similar to each other. Its now my go to for the jobs mentioned/shown in the video, never had any issues.

Hi there, can we use liquid cleaner(sort of detergent) in the bottle to clean the car? (Not sure if you used /connected a bottle with detergent to clean your wheel?)

I wouldn’t personally be adding detergent to pass through the gun however there is a foam bottle attachment that attaches to the end of the nozzle instead which lets you foam your car etc. I usually just have a 2nd bucket with car wash and wax in and lather it up with a microfibre mop.

I use it at level 3 to clean the car, 600 PSI should be a non issue as 1500 PSI is the recommended for a mains jet washer for the car. It does a really good job, I think I’ll only have to get my proper jet washer out once in a blue moon.

Could you add Vinigar or windex Or a cleaner to that bottle ? I notice the hose says to hook up to “any fresh water source” but could i connect it to something with a pesticide to spray ?

They do have attachment bottles on the website for different cleaning solutions, I see no issue with using vinegar as its also a great descaler, id just run some water through afterwards to rinse it out.

i would recommend doing it using the foam blaster attachment, this way your not gumming up the internals of the tool with wax.

Im not 100% sure. On power setting 3 I can clean both cars, patio furniture and the decking and have 2 bars left on a 5ah battery. If I had to guess I would say 3/4 of an hour continuously on a 5ah battery. Im on holiday atm but I will test this when I’m back.

Think what you want but its been working absolutely perfect for me for most things. Takes 20 seconds to setup and Ive finished most jobs I use it for before I even could’ve got the proper one out. I have a fairly decent “proper” pressure washer as mentioned in the video that has been collecting dust for the most part since I got this thing. For most jobs this does a great job that a hose (40-70psi) with a finger over it definitely couldn’t do. If ever I need anything more I’ll just get the proper pressure washer out. Also the proper pressure washer would be a nightmare/near impossible to take and setup in the lakes to clean the canoes and jet-ski off etc, this again takes 20 seconds and does a brilliant job. “Muh power” doesn’t always mean better depending what your uses are 👍🏻

Yeah because your faucet is definitely close to 41 Bar 🤦‍♂️Might want to check your model number to check its the same as this because Faucets are between 45 and 80 psi thats between 3 and 5.5 bar. If your faucet was at 41 Bar it’d take your skin off when washing your hands. Only way your faucet would be higher pressure than this model (bare in mind there are several much weaker models) is if you got a dodgy one.
