Just the thing for gathering tinder and fuel for your fire. Belongs in every outdoor fire kit. Thank you for showing it to us, Fernbark. Stay safe and stay warm

Actually, I tried it for that purpose. It is really slow. I will be going back to the Fiskars and a hatchet for that purpose. But, it is really good at getting to hard to reach places that a V-shaped lopper has a tough time getting to. Sliding this skinny lopper to the interior of a huckleberry bush is easier than making 8 cuts with the old lopper.

Got one, had to order from the UK. Cant believe not sold in US. Absolutely love it. Use it to prune crepe mertles. I top them at 6 feet and they grow 6 to 8 feet per year. The growth is about 1 inch thick and these lopers work great. At 64 they help me reach up and down to cut easily. Recommended highly

They will be here in the US soon if not already.

Now that is one cool Lopper. We do a lot of loopping around here. We have a tree that we have to Lopper the branches off of every spring. And it is the best Lopper video that I have ever seen, not just today.

You liked it even better than this video--> kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6a4h4WVmbhpd8U That was a gosh darn masterpiece.

I just bought one for $168 in Canada for tool only. They had an offer to get a free 2Ah battery and charger with it, so I decided to get it. I love it, since I have carpal tunnel in my thumbs, this makes trimming the trees and bushes in my yard so much easier and less painful. I've seen some models in New Zealand and Australia have a different safety switch, which I wish the North American version had. Ours you have to move a button with the thumb (which is doable, but slightly uncomfortable for me), whereas the NZ/AUS version has a grip tab that activates as you grip it, similar to the hedge-trimmer I own. Other than that, I like the simplicity of it. I'm glad I got it. I've named mine Cindy. (Get it? lol)

It offers a more ergonomic solution for hard to reach places and even continuous use. Although slower like you said it seemed like it was less overall strain. Nice Review.

I really could have used this while my chest was healing. It is way too slow if you are a fit person though.

I was so excited to watch this highly recommend video, that I even watched the adds, which I always do anyway. That is one cool Lopper. Take care and keep the batteries charged!!!

I like it! Just got a Ryobi pole saw. This might be next!👍 Thanks for the great demo and review!

I like their pole saw. I am not sure you will want to give up regular loppers if you already have the pole saw though.

Like you said, useful tool for people that might lack the strength to use regular branch cutters. I could see my mom using this for light yard work. Thanks for the review.

I could have used this when I was recovering from surgery.
@rossthefiddler58903 жыл бұрын
Not just for those 'lacking strength', as this can be used in just one hand too. That has to be a bonus! I liked mine for that reason to lop from a ladder as well., having it (in Australia) for two years now & have recently added the new pole version as well.
@rossthefiddler58903 жыл бұрын
@@FernbarkFrist I did find it great after my surgery (probably similar to you) as it is 1.9kg which fits into the 2kg maximum weight I could use in the 6-12 week period following surgery.

You are going to have the most manicured site on the mountain. Looks handy. Best review of a lopper I have seen today, and I have seen two. So I am an expert 🤣.

There is a hook for grabbing branches that mounts on the side, I guess you could hang it from there too.

This is the wrong Ryobi 18v lopper because it is short, bulky, and heavy. In the UK market they sell one built on a telescoping pole that goes out to about 9 feet and handles much more easily (RY18PLA).
