The blades were seized, pieces broke off in the motor chamber also the handle wouldn't turn to change the angle, part of the lever snapped off. It needs blades and the angle changing lever, works for now but wont last long.

Thanks for your video, it saved me money by taking it to be repaired. It's as difficult as I imagined. Keep going with your videos.

Is there a fuse? Mine ran 30 minutes then just stopped. Have no clue

There isn't a fuse, did you try another battery? Make sure the blades aren't jammed.

I wish you had shown what you actually did to fix it and get it running again.

I just removed the broken peices, they were jaming it up, it's not fixed, just made it move until they break more.

I just tore apart the previous Ryobi 40 V (ry40601). It's the same except for the swivel handle. I needed to sharpen the blades. What a pain. (My shed flooded, soaked rhe trimmer and the blades rusted. It shouldn't take that long to remove the blades from the trimmer. Other than that, it's been a solid performer. The batteries aren't the greatest, but after 8 years, I really can't complain.

I have many 18v Ryobi tools that I use mostly at home, most of them hold up well, the old Ryobi blue tools are almost indestructible.
