I am curious what was happening with the people in the sights they visited. Like pollution and misuse of resources are stated to be the main reason for the death of humanity, but there was still food on the table at the diner when the guy at the counter died, so it wasn't like he starved or was fighting someone else for it. And the basketball court had people dressed up and ready to play like it was a normal day. Whatever killed these guys struck suddenly and unexpectedly, unlike in the survivalist camps.

Even more interesting is that it couldn’t have been a nuclear blast because if so, the windows would be shattered, everything would be vaporized, and essentially nothing would be left. It’s like they all just died at once

@@hkayakhMega WMD, like chemical warfare. I thought they hinted at it but now i'm wondering if I imagined it because I can't find it. Totally plausible tho, and would leave no visual evidence. On the basketball court, there is someone in the background who was hanged. They couldn't do it to themself, because there's no stool nearby. The situation had to be dire if murder like that was rampant before everyone died. Interesting to make conjecture, but I wonder if the writers even cared enough to make a solid explanation.

The gayest part about the movie is the fact that they once again try to make it seem like humans can control the suns natural cycles of activity and dormancy or that humans can control the earths natural cycles of cooling and warming……like yes we pollute the planet with carbon, but a volcano can belch out more carbon in one day than we produce in a whole year. Not to mention the fact that if the sun and earth are gonna decide to do an ice age or a warming period there’s nothing we can do about it except attempt to survive it…..you can’t stop it…….. but we are only allowed to talk about how raising taxes and switching to unreliable energy sources are the only way to “save the earth” the sad fact is that we can’t save it and they refuse to tell you that and on top of that, it’s not really our fault per say. If the earth is gonna do an ice age then it will, like it has many times before cars and factories, if it’s gonna heat up, it will, like it has many times, before cars and factories. All you can do is try to survive it’s
