What i do to keep it wet is fill it with water till it just crests the substrate. Then from there planting was a breeze.

Ya this was the tank that got IAPLC 59 Rank tight? The tank is ok ,,,but not Rank59 Good!!!!!!!! There were many tanks which were way more complex than this

That’s your opinion but let me just say that It’s not about complexity. There are many different styles to aquascaping. Nature style, diorama, iwagumi, brazilian, etc.. This style I went with is the classic nature style featuring lots of various plants. Maybe take a look at some of Takashi Amano’s previous works as well as the aquascaped that ADA’s team creates. Classic NA Style. A scape doesn’t need to be complex to be good

Its a good looking tank, but believe me there were better , even beyond 200rank . Hopefully IAPLC will offer judging position to actual passionate aquascapers next time rather than business men !!!! There has been a huge uproar this time around criticizing their credibility, and hoping they turn things around next time and take this hobby forward

@@submergedSerenity yup, I understand what you mean. Also, remember just as much as it’s an aquascaping contest, IAPLC is also a photography contest. So photo quality/skills need to be top notch. A friend of mine who’s a professional photographer helped me out with this.

Not really. You can have scapes focusing on wood as well as scapes focusing on rocks :)
