Hello everyone, here's the list of ingredients along with the steps to make homemade sudanese Moolah Neeyemeya and a yogurt based Yaseeda
Ingredients for the Moolah
two onions
one cups of yogurt
½ cup of water
half a cup of oil
a can of tomato paste
a pinch of salt
two spoonfuls of salted peanut butter
two spoonfuls of flour
steps to make the Moolah:
1) add half a cup of oil in a cooking pot
2) chopp two onions and add it inside the pot until it’s golden
3) add a can of tomato paste in the pot
4) add a half a cup of water in the pot and stir until it’s well mixed
5) put the mix in a food processor and add a cup of yogurt and two spoonfuls of peanut butter and two spoonfuls of flower and process it
6) once it’s fully mixed, put it in the pot and add a pinch of salt
7) add a little bit of oil on the top and let simmer.
Ingredients for the yogurt based Yasseeda:
one cup of water
one cup of yogurt
four spoonfuls of cornstarch
a pinch of salt
steps to make the yogurt based Yasseeda:
1) put one cup of water, one cup of yogurt in the pot
2) put four spoonfuls of cornstarch in a separate bowl, add water to it until it formed into a paste
3) add the cornstarch to the pot and mix it and then put it on maximum heat
4) wait until it’s boiling and stir it well until it’s thick
5) take a bowl and put oil and water in it so the Yasseeda doesn’t stick
6) add the mixture in the bowl and let rest for at least 30 minutes (or until it’s cold)
7) flip the bowl into a bigger one, add the Moolah around it and enjoy! :)
