They still are doing everything from scratch, the technology has improved and they are allowed to use multiple devices at once now

The melodies from the sequencers are preset, so it’s not quite from scratch with the new devices.

Eh, not really. Frosty basically makes one simple sound with his mouth and then presses 1 key that automatically turns that simple vocal sound to some complicated sound. He is skipping the whole part where you're supposed to twist all the knobs on the loop station to create sounds.

it's all done from scratch!!! sometimes they record sounds on mute and then play them so it can get confusing, but it is 100% made on the spot also they're able to manipulate the sounds they make until it basically seems entirely produced lol, it all comes from the mouth tho!!!

@@Worldly_Pitfall3 No, the MK2 was given to everyone who was a participant or judge in the Sbx Kickback Loopstation competition. Rythmind got one for judging, Frosty, Robin, and KBA each got one for participating. Also some Second Devices can do similar stuff as the MK2 and Frosty is also using a second device.

loopstation has really turned into live, on the spot producing (for the most part.) Obviously they're all talented beatboxers as well, so that gives them a strong and free-flowing foundation to work off of. Beardyman is one of the best to do it imo, always freestyling the most insane music with his beatboxing and production effects. OH SHIT watch his collab with Harry Mack!

@@fps_efg No, the new MK2 versions of the loopstations have sequencers on them now that allow for using preset melodies and they were used by some like Frosty in GBB21. The Producer category split was about using additional devices, but with the new loopstations they don’t need additional devices to use preset melodies.

It’s still all on the spot but these are newer machines with sequencers so they can pre programme rhythms in and then play them by making one sound. They can also silent record and then play it all at once when it’s already put together

What Frosty did at the beginning is referred to as "Silent Recording". He could hear what he was doing in hs headphones but it wasn't being passed through to the live speakers in the venue. Notice how he had the mic to his mouth at the beginning of the round but no sounds could be heard until he looped it and let it go through to the speakers. It's been very common in Loop Station events ever since at least GBB 2019 afaik. Frosty did not cheat. The rules of the event is every sound can be manipulated by your devices as much as you want, but the original input sound must come from just your voice in the mic. Once in the machine, you can do whatever you want to maniuplate that sound into various things.

So to answer your Question you asked in the beginning of Frosty's first Round Frosty is using multiple Devices wich was still allowed in GBB 2021 and everything you heard was made with his Voice it was just a Silent Recording in the beginning so no worries he wasnt cheating there are just way more possibillities with multiple devices In GBB 2023 there is a Loopstation Category and for Artists with multiple Devices there is the Producer Category just so you know incase you wanna check it out when it gets released
