Bro I've been a Luke main since beta and current Ryu is better in every way possible. His walk speed, his pokes, crazy damage. This Luke 2.0 I'm playing him tell he gets Nerfed next patch from everyone complaining You just saw how brain dead he can be

Bro they have the same walk speed. Also Luke has much better corner carry and oki midscreen which is important with how dangerous the corner is so I'd say they're pretty similar in strength

We do always seem to go over this again and again. Ryu is undeniably strong tho. He's had too many wins with EndingWalker and Kusanagi to be ignored. His damage is incredible for a shoto. On par with Akuma's damage I think. Akuma might be the better character overall tho and even Ken has some advantages over Ryu due to being rushdown heavy.

............ I have no idea what that Jamie player was doing. I guess the majority of players in the Asia server handle Jamie a lot differently than the US users. No matter the region, Rashid players are still ridiculously unfair. The fact you cannot punish JP's Stribog really shows the mindset of the game designers, they are far too Marvel vs Capcom with no belief of "Low Risk, Low Rewards, "High Risk, High Reward. I don't agree with their philosophy at all. Lol. What happened to Terry was so unfortunate (His SA1 missed due to Nephew's coincidental OD DP). Lol.

Maybe i’m missing something but to my understanding i dont think their intentions are to nerf general pokes like, across the board but simply to nerf specific normals that characters had that they deemed to oppressive no? Yeah it was. Ken and akuma got their poke moves nerfed to be more balanced. That’s why it makes sense. It’s just more of an adjustment for me being a Ken main lol
