the reason I like ryu: 1. helps but the 1st to walk away when it's time to say: thank you 2. outfit is very standard (no huge blades, no fancy clothes) 3. face is normal (no crazy hairstyle,with crazy scars and weird colors eyes) 4. no dramatic goals: just wants to get better (no revenge,no protection, no being a hero, no being the best) 5. has great power but surpresses that to win on his own. 6. overall, not the best looking nor the strongest, just a normal guy that won the respect of giants

It's always been Tatsumaki Sempukyaku. But the sound quality has only recently gotten good enough to actually hear it. In the original SFII iterations, it did sound weird like "Ah vex vex vex voochuk" or something. But even in the instructions and command lists, the real name was always listed. I don't think those moves had names at all in SFI though, because there were virtually no voices at all.
