@@blo0dysmiles297 i mean they address this, as a huge fanboy of ryu and scorpion i think they left out some things. scorpion could just come back to life pretty much every time he dies (which granted would be a lot bc strength wise ryu is leagues above scorpion until hes in hell) a few things missed however is how raiden clapped scorpion in MK9 in hell and id put ryu pretty above raiden tbh. that being said, the soul killing raging demon is the way to make sure scorpion can just come back to life. IMO scorpion would "die" quite a few times before he would power up to ryu standards in hell.

Looking back on this deathbattle a few years after it came out, I realize that Scorpion was not the best character from Mortal Kombat to put Ryu up against. Yeah, that's if he could react in time to actually GET superman there. He's never been able to teleport other people without catching them off guard with a planned fake, otherwise he'd almost always do it from the start, and he wouldn't have to pretend to lose since he could just do it the moment he took a strike to the face. It takes at least some level of concentration and planning, and with the speed that Supes moves at, it really just won't happen. Even if he were to teleport, Superman would just zip around so fast that Scorpion couldn't pinpoint his position. He'd get OHK'd before he could even think TO teleport, really.

Of all these death battles, this one is the one I thought was the best in terms of how I felt it should go down. Ryu is a much better fighter, with more moves and a better collection of powers. However, as the video pointed out, scorpion was already dead and they were fighting in hell. That is one hell (forgive the pun) of an advantage!

Plus it was pointed out that there was ONE move that could've put Scorpion down for good. The Shun Goku Satsu. Had Ryu successfully connected with it he would've attacked Scorpion's soul with the gravity of all his past sins. Rewatching this, and after watching Ryu vs Jin, the outcome of this fight may not hold up accurately, but it’s still an absolute blast of a Death Battle. I don’t even mind if they get some of the outcomes wrong, they are still a blast to watch, and you can always learn something about the characters. This is one HELL of a Death Battle

I think Screwattack accepts the SF Udon comics as canon since they showed their page of Akuma blowing up a meteor. In that book, Ryu is crazy powerful: He's beaten Bison, Akuma, Urien, and even friggin' Gill. Shin Ryu's even shown to have access to the Shun Goku Satsu move and can teleport across the world. That version could definitely defeat Scorpion.

1) It depends on the version, But I'll go with GL. More versitile. 2) Again Version. Best version of Shredder (Ultrom Shredder), wins. Too strong and his robotic reflexes and endurance. 3) Ichigo too straight on powerful. His attacks also directly assails the soul so there is that. 4)It depends on the terms of combat. Most will say Nightwing interferes with Winter Soldier while he is on mission to axe someone so Nightwing wins by sneak attack. Other way, WS is hunting NW finds him first and aces him from a couple miles away. Pit fight, then. WS. Better trained and programmed, by Russian's best, and we won't go into the mods and upgrades done to make him more effective, which wouldn't doubt include ingrammed experiences. 5) Ultraman. He's got that beam thing. 6) THOR. He is mean enough and at the same time easy going enough to really hammer (Pun not intended) SHAZAM into the ground. 7) Batman Beyond. Close but if it came down to it, SM2099 isn't as versatile and does not have the same degree and types of advantages as classic SM would over BM. 8)The Turtles. When the chips are down, They pull for each other. The Four Robins would fall apart as a team because they can not work well if at all, with each other except Nightwing and Red Robin. 9) Mxyzptlk. Seriously he is God's golfing buddy. 10) Which version of The HULK. Also Bizarro is strong enough to give Superman grief but is not stronger than Superman or strong enough to beat him. HULK is also by default smarter even Savage HULK that Bizarro ever was.
