Necro comment, but you were right, Sakamoto did at one point became tired of playing over and over "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence." So much so that he stopped playing it for almost a decade. He later brought it back to his programs.

@@RichardJamesMendoza seriously? I mean I feel bad that he's tired of playing the song over and over again, it does get boring. But we just love the song as much as we love Sakamoto San we didn't mean to make him feel that, we appreciate him.

@@nickryan6787 of course, this was around a few years after the movie, so it's somewhat understandable on his part to be annoyed about it. think of it as his "Prelude in C-sharp minor" by Rachmaninoff, but lesser intensity. what made him change his mind later was when he saw Carole King singing "You've Got A Friend" in Tokyo.
