Anna Karenina is an old book, that’s actually crazy that some random Mario maker level references it. Over the summer I worked at a summer stock theatre and one of the plays we did was “Anna in the tropics” and that book is like the whole plot of the show, what a strange place to find a reference to it lol

I think that Kirby level meant that if you wanted to get the "true ending" of the level, you had to choose not to get checkpoints. Maybe without the checkpoints the level is hard enough to be Super Expert worthy because otherwise the level seemed kinda easy and I was surprised to see it in Super Expert

@@skeetsmcgrew3282 You can cheese a novel like that though, in just an afternoon, just read the CliffsNotes. Or a Wikipedia entry of it, whatever the kids do these days. I just used to go to the public library, there was a specific series of published books by analytic literary critics on all the classics, each publication with several essays on the specific book my AP class was going through. Based all my essays on those essays, my book reports, my essay tests, especially if I just read part of the book, or if I needed to remember or focus on specific aspects of the books I did read. So I could cheese a Classic by just doing that, but it did teach me to greatly appreciate even to this day literary analysis of poems, books, and all that jazz.

That Yoshi midair tech can actually be done in Mario Maker 2 as well, and with every item. Plus, you don't need to do left-right midair inputs; you just need yoshi and a ceiling. You spit the item at the same time as you jump off, then bonk the ceiling to land on the item, shell, pow, switch, spring, or whatever. In the NSMBU style, you don't even need a ceiling, if you do a super low dismount.

It's too late to attempt to make a level now but I sure do wonder if Midair Yoshi Risers could be done now. Maybe the eggs wouldn't turn into Yoshis in time on the screen by the time you shell jumped from a previous Yoshi though. It would probably just be an egg falling after something exploded or it bounced off a spring. out of a pipe wouldn't work. Stays an egg until touched and lands on the ground. Maybe one could be done with 2 Yoshis already hatched and one was on top of a P switch coin block and then you had to go under the ceiling with one Yoshi, hit a p and then crazy things dropped in sequence. I don't know.
