I think you're being too harsh on the Bonus level. It was a decent concept. I will say that a checkpoint or 2 would have improved it a lot though in order to not force you through the whole start again when you die.

Beginning of 2nd jump near wall, use air time to build up speed for a triple jump in opposite direction. Those shortjumps seem way faster on that stage :)

Exactly what I was coming down here to say. The time saved or lost at that part lies solely with how much or little horizontal distance you have to put between yourself and the triple jump door so as to build up the jump. Going all the way to the left edge of the screen wastes the most possible time, even if the trick may be stylish.

At 14:36 when you got that level, you didnt do a @#¢¥√$§ jump after the second door wich is what was making you go time out. Let me explain, the distance between the 2 doors is too short for a jump you actually were losing time by doing it. In the end you used the fastest way wich was simply walking/running to the door. Man i was screaming at my tv stop jumping and when you did i screamed YESSSS!!!! 🤘 It was epic 😂😂😂 🤠

That bonus level was a really neat concept; used the darkness and being chased in a small claustrophobic path (while ensuring you couldn't truly escape the chaser) to maximum effect in stressing the player out. Not that I would ever want to experience that myself; I'm just saying it's well designed.

When trying for a triple jump, you must satisfy two conditions. First, you must have done a double jump as your last jump and jump within a time window of landing. That one everyone knows. Second, you have to have enough forward speed. Usually, this is only possible if all 3 jumps are in the same direction. By double jumping right near a wall however, you can cancel all of your speed and start building speed in the other direction very shortly after you leave the ground on the double jump. If done right, you can build up enough speed to qualify for the triple jump going the other way.

If you land your 1st jump close to the wall and then manage to do 3 twirls during 2nd jump, you get it consistently.

@@valentds Twirls just help you cover more distance in the air after turnback. On Ryu's successful attempts, you can see he travels at least 11 blocks in the air after the turnback. Iirc that's the minimum distance to make that trick possible.

If you haven't already got it, to perform the walled triple jump set it up so that your first jump is at the edge of the screen, then perform the next two on your return to the right.
