SOLVED the 1-1 level? spike room - get pow and pswitch - go back to middle coin section - ground pound blocks above pipe - get hidden copter - jump out - bring your pswitch - go in D pipe - get star - go in E pipe - go above pipes - copter twirl jump off pswitch to get the hight to reach the hidden cloud above? - fly cloud to bomb block on the right - get bomb - drop it above the flag - wait for it to explode flag block - YOU WIN.

1-1 from memory, get p switch and pow block from spike room, then go back to main room with p switch, use p switch to go through door behind cannons then go through pipe. once through pipe, dodge fish, get the hidden falling mushroom AND the bomb, then go through fish pipe to main world. 2 blocks above the pipe is a copter, you need to activate the hidden block straight above you and use the bomb to both get out and blow up the blocks around the copter for access. I think you can still get the copter if you ground pound it? Once you have the copter, you need to go back to the hidden door behind the cannons, there is a hidden pipe under it, use copter to get in. Go through the 2 pick a paths, then wait for falling star, when you have star power go through pipe quick and use copter to save yourself. High above you to the left is a hidden cloud in a block, up and to the right is a normal hidden block, somehow get the cloud so you can fly it to the far right. Once you hit the wall there is another hidden block with a bomb, get the bomb and fly over the wall, use the bomb to blow up the block to get to the flag, also take damage so you are super mario. Thats the strat that looks like it works. Creator is most definitely a mad man.

That section with the hidden mush and bomb is the hardest part to pull off. Practising it with a visible block is still difficult. blowing up the bomb in the correct spot as to not blow up the Feller (copter) block and still being able to escape that coin room is also very difficult 😩

@@freshl3mon My guess, from when I looked at it closely online, is that you might be able to just throw it into the upper left claw - seems like it might be positioned perfectly to blow up the three blocks above the copter but not the copter itself. Yeah, this creator has issues...

Yeah, I spent about 10 minutes examining the level online, and reached the exact same conclusion. (Actually I paused the video to check it out soon after Ryu started playing it. Initially, I thought the fish came *out* of the pipe based on how it looked online, which would mean you could just enter from that pipe and skip the whole P-switch and POW part. And along that line, the online viewer didn't show any wings on the P-switch and POW, so I was assuming they weren't even attainable. It was only after watching Ryu that I learned they did have wings, and that they were mandatory.) The part that seems to be particularly troublesome to me is actually getting the bomb over the wall at the very end. Seems like you need to hit the block containing it, then get up and around it *insanely fast* to bounce on it before it walks off the block. And considering how much you have to do before getting to that... yeah, that's an unfortunate maneuver to have only one shot at.

@@maxi4323 I was thinking that if you jumped from the ground above the three pipes and used the propeller, you could probably hit the invisible block up and to the right. Then, after landing back on the ground you jumped from, fly up there again and land on the block (assuming you can get that high). And from on top of that block, you might be able to reach the block with the cloud up and to the left. I haven't tried it, of course, and the amount of work involved just to get to that point makes me not super interested to check it - but since that's the only way I and the original commenter could see to do it, I'm assuming it's possible to reach the invisible blocks that way.

@grawa that impossible, you only start with 30 lives, you'd either have to beat the 6? or perhaps 16 levels with those 30 lives, or go game over anyway, which is already what he is doing normally, and getting more than 30 lives isn't as easy as it sounds either.

He did that before and said it was too tedious. I actually think I love his videos where he’s just playing rare hard and obscure levels without any other restriction than to finish a level. I don’t find endless 30 that exciting because Nintendo made it more boring and the difficulty is just littered with random garbage. Love seeing ryu just work out a hard level with raw skill.

You don't need a key to beat the level as the pipe doesn't go anywhere. I have been studying the level for about 30mins and have no idea how to beat the level, but have a feeling it has to do with the hidden copter and hidden vine at the end

And don't get me wrong. There is a channel of which I absolutely enjoy and came across after watching a certain video. The video was from the channel Abroad In Japan. The channel had done a reaction of one of his videos. The channel doing the reaction is Mrs Eats. Mrs Eats is a Japanese woman. Her and her husband are the cutest couple when they're both on camera. Her husband is from the US but I believe he had said in one of their videos that his parents immigrated from Korea.
