Is it possible to join another’s world and go through the steps to unlock from Wallace? I know that people can sell items to Cass that allows players to then buy them from her as a way to transfer certain items (like ones that craft into a weapon for example).

Oh snap, I am sorry. I was not aware of that and good to know. @amaurys93 left a good tip if you're able to have someone sell it Cass, you should be able to buy it back from her.
