Found this through the subreddit, thank you so much for posting it. I currently ride an ebike, not exclusively, but I use it frequently for commuting to and from work as well as just going out for riding. I have a car, but I really only use it for long trips (rare) and groceries. I live alone and have a very minimalist lifestyle. When I saw the Ryvid I was like, "oh man, is this the thing I have been looking for?! My biggest obstacles right now are, well 1) I don't ride a motorcycle, but e-motorcycles have REALLY made me want one (Zero seems to be the one people gravitate towards, but their price is the killing blow) and 2) I don't know if I want to take the plunge on something so new just yet.

Great review. Any updates on mods you made to the bike?

Have you tried using the regen while using the throttle? Might be something to ask the manufacturer about first, but I'd think the idea would be to modulate the strength of the regen braking by applying power (something I noticed from driving my car downhill :P).

Thanks for the vids! Where is the launch edition badge? I've heard it's a little hidden. My bike should be here in a few weeks🎉

It is! I couldn’t find it at first. It’s on the left hand side on the side of the front forks.

Regen would also be very useful going down a steep hill.
@Shiroikage84Ай бұрын
yeha but i think he mentioned there is auto regen on the lower modes. so, assuming you are gonna decent a steep hill, wouldn't you set it to like eco or something?
@HON-BUN3 ай бұрын
What is your range if left in eco mode? Have you or could you do a range test? Also what if I wanted to mount a 65L storage top box on back could I do that? Lastly thank you 🙏 for the information about the bike been looking at it.

Range isn’t as good as I was hoping, though deep down I knew what to expect. Realistically, 45-55mi riding normally, not spirited- normally (35-55mph). For the price I paid, and my needs/wants - I love the thing. I just really was hoping for closer to 70-80mi. But it’s not a dealbreaker.

What bike you have ridden does this compare to closest in terms of accelerating and ,seperatly, handling? The style of this bike really speaks to me. And i think this application is the only place an electric vehicle makes sense. Just something to casually tool around the streets on. Wheelies?

Wheelies? You mean reckless driving? 😆

Hey my friend , do you need motorcycle license or is fine to drive it wirh my regular car license? Thank you

You need a motorcycle license. Take the motorcycle safety course. It's worth it

110 charge cord is a little short. But charging is relatively fast. I also noticed regen braking is minimal or absent when battery is near 100%.
@scorpion2519704 ай бұрын
Btw, I accidentally charged to 98%, because it charged so fast. I also wish the regen was automatic on sport.
@RandySpeer4 ай бұрын
@@scorpion251970 I’ve charged to 100% twice now for the same reason. And yeah Regan being limited or disabled at a high SOC is normal. Can’t put energy back into a full battery.
@scorpion2519704 ай бұрын
@@RandySpeer same with my model 3. The no regen. When my anthem arrived it was really cold. It was sluggish like not working. Then I aimed it towards my garage, it suddenly kicked in and the acceleration was more than I expected. Unlike newbies, I just let go of the accelerator 😉. No crashing 😆. Been riding since 1996. But so far this is the easiest bike I’ve ridden. My back doesn’t hurt after riding. (I’m old now). Anyway the craziest thing? No sound of a motor. And best thing of all? No clutch 😆.

I returned mine because the range disappointed me. After having yours for a month, how are you feeling about the bike?
@RandomMotoThings28 күн бұрын
Main reason why I got the land Moto with the biggest battery. Definitely more expensive but range can be a dealbreaker for me. The faster acceleration was another reason for me. Great bike thought hopefully they come out with a bigger battery with more range
@AmericanIlluminati28 күн бұрын
@@RandomMotoThings Yea, I was going to pull the trigger on the land, but then I realized, for that price point, I could honestly just buy a real bike. Which I'm planning on doing. I already have a Talaria, which I might sell to buy a Ventus later. So, there's no point in stressing over the land for me.
@AmericanIlluminati28 күн бұрын
@@RandomMotoThings Glad you're enjoying the Land, though.

What is its max speed and can you ride it at highway speeds for long periods of time without overheating?
@RandySpeerАй бұрын
Max speed is listed at around 75mph, but I've hit 91mph and my hat blew off so I had to stop and turn around, not sure what it would've peaked at. And you can def ride at highway speeds without overheating, you'll just CRUSH your range. If you rode at 70mph non stop, I'd imagine you're looking at 30miles tops.

Can't get enough looking at this thing. I am not easilly impressed by vehicle designs but damn if this isn't hot!

@RandySpeer3 ай бұрын
In a round about way yeah. I didn’t go through Ryvids financing. I took a personal loan from my bank and used it to pay in full.
@vance23792 ай бұрын
Bet the issue with regen braking is because you let off gas and THEN held it in. Bet other way around is fine. Hold in regen braking them let off gas

Possibly, but I don't get the feeling it does. There are possible even smaller state/local incentives, but nothing from what I could find for my state here in the middle of the country.
