Ryze Tello or Parrot Mambo???

With the recent announcement that Parrot is getting out of the toy drone business, there are amazing deals to be had on the Mambo and other Parrot mini drones. At such low prices, I make the point here that the Ryze Tello drone may not be the best drone around for $100. The Tello and the Mambo were introduced a while ago but in my opinion, they are still among the best drones you can get in the price range. A controller is also much better to control a drone than using a smartphone!

Just bought the Parrot Mambo to use the Claw to drop my Fishing Line far out 👌 Cant wait! Also, Mambo actually does have camera underneath to take Pictures from the Above View, and you can also buy the Mambo Fpv Camera that works with Goggles. I think so many customizations make the Mambo great.

The mambo now comes with a camera that fits on the top. But a big let down for me is that the rota blades are in the video footage. Is there any way to fix this issue thanks

This is a new combo that was introduced at some point. If the camera is attached like the grabber and gun, you could use a lego block as a spacer to rise the camera higher.

@@deanbamford6031 humm, you are right. You would have to modify a block by running small cables through it to make the contacts. Not straightforward but not impossible.

I agree with you! I just watched the video and thinking if I will be comfortable looking at the rota blades in the footage! I hate that. I guess In that way is better tello, no?. Did you get any of those? which one? =)

I was just gifted a Parrot Mambo and it's giving me a "Cut Out Alert" and one propeller is not spinning. Does anybody know the fix for this? Thanks.

Thank you for the video. I have decided on the tello and will get a battery charger dock when I have enough money and have a USB WiFi booster with my PC so can use that. I chose it over the parrot as even though the camera may not be great on the Tello, I have seen some half decent stills on it and with editing I reckon it could become half decent. Thank you for the video, very informative and helped me make my decision.

It looks to me like your outdoor video was taken in fast mode which doesn't use the image stabilisation (because it uses the full width of the camera). When I've taken outdoor video in slow mode (the default) it's much smoother, even with some breeze. That Parrot does look more responsive though!

Who flies a Mambo hovering to do video? It is meant to FPV and move fast. The hover mode makes it easier for newbies to FPV and crash less.
