What works best is leaving the clocks alone, and adjusting the voltage curve for PBO. All core boost, negative offset of -20mv. Lower temps, higher sustained boost clocks with decreased voltage. You might be able to get the maximum of -30mv offset, but -20mv was the max for my silicon.

Testing a bit here on Farcry New Dawn build in benchmark, low settings 720p, every bit of clock makes a massive advantage. I imagine the actual gain or difference in CPU power is massive, but actually playing a game at high or ultra 1440p makes very little difference. So running normal settings vs. overclocking to 4650-4800 could make a nice difference, but on actual gameplay, it would mean almost nothing. We need the massive CPU power increase of changing to a 5800x3D to actually notice something.

Hi Diego! Yes, I think that the result is good. Temps are also good. But keep in mind that in games, higher boost clock may provide better results than such all core overclock settings. That is why you will get more points in Cinebench with All Core 4400 than with the stock settings. Try it and you will see. @@tilburg8683 You don't need PBO for that. Try with CPU voltage se to Auto and multiplier to 46. Everything else on default. Also, make sure you are setting the right speed and voltage for your RAM.

stock cooler ?

No, with stock cooler the temps are much higher.

His gpu clocks are higher in each game that has better fps
@FroznHood Жыл бұрын
Minor differences in GPU clock are irrelevant when you have a CPU bottleneck.

so basically it doesnt do shit except maybe for muh temps. temps and cpu's are a meme. I never ever paid for coolers because my CPUS ran hot. CPUS are made to withstand temperatures up to 94 degrees Celsius ( intel) anything below that doesn't affect lifespan in a meaningfull way.
@FroznHood Жыл бұрын
It is not about lifespan. It is about more stable clock frequencies and lower cooling noise.
@JR-cm9sh Жыл бұрын
fair enough that's a legitimate reason , i just cosntantly hear people talking about how their lower temps will be super beneficial for their CPU. it barely has any impact longterm but sure it keeps noise down and i highly doubt the clock frequencies are even a thing@@FroznHood
