S. 129 - Saving of donations mortis causa and Muhammadan law
According to Section 129, the following types of gifts are not governed by Chapter VII: -
- Gifts of moveable property made in contemplation of death (donatio mortis causa): These are gifts that are made by a person who expects to die soon, and are conditional on the donor’s death.
- Gifts governed by Muhammadan law: These are gifts that are made by a person who follows the Islamic faith, and are subject to the rules and principles of Muhammadan law.
