As you realized, you can build more than one dimensional depot, you are only limited by the amount of mercer spheres in the game minus the amount for fully upgrading. They fit very cleanly on top of a storage container

Great idea! Do you know how many mercer spheres there are total? I'll google it and report back. Oh nice, it's on the wiki already. There are 151 Mercer Spheres in the game. 5 of which are used for unlocking minimal functionality of Dimensional Storage, a further 92 to research upgrades to stack capacity and upload speed.

My favorite strategy is to place your first dimensional depot at the first Sam node you find. Place a miner and a constructor processing SAM into reanimated sam. Then belt the reanimated sam into the dimensional depot. Every time it fills pull it out and put it in a container. Then when you’re ready to make sam fluctuators you’ll have all the reanimated sam you need! Eventually you can also automate sam fluctuators but that’s still a ways off.

Thanks for the video. From the looks of it, I might have to put some time in for exploring to access the new storage system. Seems pretty handy. Might also have saved my surrounding from the occational loud adult outburst, when trying to get a coal powerplant going 1.5 km from base, and I'd just run out of yet another part, while building it. Of course, getting any meaningful power output also consumed all the coal produced with mark 1 crap-tastic miners on impure nodes, so there goes the steel plans, lol. Off to find another stash of coal, preferebly near a lot of iron as well. Take care, and I'll look forward to the next one.

It's awesome! I should have gone after it immediately. I'm editing the next episode and I reference your comment from the last episode about being confused. I'd already made this S.A.M. episode, but don't fret, next episode and moving forward feels more like all my videos prior to 1.0. I need to slow down and focus on tasks.

Watching you build this blueprint.... gotta check your numbers. The cast screw recipe has different numbers than regular screw recipe. I'm sure you've already figured that out by now buuut, just figured it was worth mentioning. Also, nice job on taking out that spider. There's a counter above the door inside the hub for how many in-game days you've been alive.. Well, between "incidents", Anyway

You dont need spare equipment now. You keep your equipment, only your inventory spawns in a box

Oh yeah! I think I have mine set to keep nothing, but I suppose turning on keep equipment wouldn't ruin the experience.

I know you don’t want spoilers, but you really should watch the last Coffee Stain video before the 1.0 release. Snutt does a great job explaining some of the stuff that is new that isn’t so intuitive. It doesn’t give away too much. Also I recommend that you use the to do list more heavily if you want to stay on track. Having that little bar that isn’t quite filled nagging me on the side of the screen really helps me to stay focused.

I've "course-corrected" in the next episode. I'm working quite a bit ahead for the first time ever. I have about 100 shorts planned and I have so much drive to play right now I'm strongly considering going even shorter for episodes and trying to release daily M-F...but I want to get a week or two ahead by then. It's so much more out of game planning, because videos are releasing and people are commenting and I'm confused because I edited that video a week ago! Instead of the usual (10 minutes before releasing). So, thanks! I will go watch that video right now. I'm over spoilers. Tiers 7-9 will all be new anyway since I almost never get that far.

Do the lizzard doggos spawn randomly or is there a fixed number in fixed areas? I got 3 and havent seen anymore for a long time. Are there certain places they prefer to be?

I didn't know, so I asked my discord community. Best we can figure it this bit from the wiki: "Spawning Creature spawn points have limits set on how many of a specific type of creature will spawn in that location. There can be multiple spawn points in close proximity to one another, each belonging to a different creature.[1] There is a set limit to the amount of AI creatures that are allowed to be active at anyone time map-wide in order to maintain game performance.[2] Having for example multiple tamed Lizard Doggos can affect how many other creatures the pioneer will see while exploring." (satisfactory.wiki.gg/wiki/Creatures#Spawning) So it looks like there are spawn points for each creature. So you'll generally find them in the same spots all the time. And if you keep them tamed you may not find more in the spawn areas you already found them. I wonder if I get enough doggos if it'll eliminate all the hostile creatures around the world. There are some "doggo caves" that I think have a ton in them. Maybe give that a search if you want known locations.
