@zedmak it's old school. Children will obviously be better off with both parents under one roof, but they won't automatically end up in a ditch as an adult if they don't. A child is not a reason to get married and by 2000/2001 when this was airing, western society was more understanding of that. Sonny insisting on marriage was because he's an old school chauvinist. Gotta love him, though.

He says he will take care of her and the children this is why he did not adopt or even think of Brenda's son as his own....he kept referring to Alec to Brenda's kid and not their child.... Hahaha
