Thanks for the update. That wall looks like it will be able to withstand storm surges. They also need to pack boulders at the base of the wall to break impact of waves hitting the wall.

A solid concrete wall with concrete floor to the height of the road surface, and the wall curving back towards the sea, so that water can flash back toward the sea, and also breakwater boulders should be in place to ease the impact of the waves .

@deniseclarke6905 years ago the sea used to come across the road but since then the have risen the road quite a bit and put boulder alongside it to prevent it from eroding underneath the road

This was a no brainer and i was questioning the logis of these stone walls which has no impact resistance. We have the SAM PROBLEM at Shooters Hill in Harbour view .. NO WALL AT ALL madness from NWA. Building near sea without coastline protection is madness as a matter of fact the road should have been diverted inland and avoid this area altogether .

S&G did the paving as a subcontractor. THAT MEANS, THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EUALITY OF THE WORK SUBCONTRACTED TO THEM. CONSTRUCTION WORK LIKE THIS "MUST" HAVE DEFECT LIABILITY PLUS WARRANTY ON MATERIALS USED. Don't be fooled! You're not talking to an average Joe! CHEC must now enforce that clause under the subcontract.

As per usual the work is going slow! Why couldn't thay frame the whole thing and pour the concrete one time? I don't see a reason for this bit by bit workmanship if someone want to explain I would like hear! And I hope that micky mouse wall remaining will be taken down. People outside of Jamaica laugh at some of our Civil Engineering Work, and we are better than that.
