S.H.Figuarts GT Trunks info revealed & Discussion/Speculation

It's the first time in what feels like eons that I did one of these news update type of videos and man does it feel good to be back to formula. But in today's video we are talking about the Tamashii nation's s.h.figuarts gt trunks he was revealed at NYCC 2023 & tbh not a figure I am particularly hyped for, didn't really care for gt trunks. He on premium bandai right now as we speak going for 65.00 USD Before shipping and handling.
I guess my main question for this release, is will this fit into you guy's budget to buy or will these be an easy pass for you.
With that being said, all the different figures that are coming out this year budgeting is going to be quintessential, that is if we are trying to be financially responsible, while still enjoying our hobby of collecting action figures, especially with the prices of Action figures nowadays, But perhaps your financial situation allows you to purchase figures with no problem at all in that case. I'm trying to get like you 😂😂.

Can't believe Bandai is out here including GT Goku's tail, calling it a bonus, slapping a $65 dollar price tag on it but not including a Super Saiyan head or even a Hair-In-Motion alt head is crazy.

Figure looks great to me but I agree that neck gap is crazy. The seam on the pants is also a bit iffy 😬

I'm feeling 'Meh' about GT Trunks, too. But I'm still going to get it to complete the collection. Hopefully they'll make a Goten & Gohan that comes with all 3 of their SSJ heads. But all that aside, that was a beautiful thing you did at the end in honor of Akira Toriyama, Bombastic 🙌🏾🕊 His dedication to his wonderful artwork and artistic talent has had a huge impact on my life personally for over 3 decades now. And his legacy will continue to inspire generations to come for several decades more. And for that, I am grateful that I've had the privilege of experiencing this phenomenon known as Dragon Ball 🐉

Thanks Jim, definitely wanted to offer a different perspective of the late toriyama, because what he did was legendary and if we could focus on the positive aspects of his legacy and what it did for the world at large I figured(no pun intended) that it could be uplifting

GT Trunks and GT in general hold a warm place in my heart. As a kid I remember finding the DVD set at an FYE while looking for DBZ stuff with my Grandparents and they bought it for me and I watched through the entire series probably like a hundred times. So i'm for sure picking up 1 if not 2 of these bad boys(1 to keep normal and one for customizing)

Awesome i was waiting for you to make a video on this. I really just want and need the figure for the smiling face which i hope fits on the boy from the future trunks and tbh I didn’t mind gt so i might get it. But i can see why some would pass on him. And also I commented on you build a figure gohan figure because i so agreed how crazy it was for gohan to have ssj and base heads and capes bundled with expensive figures! But great video!!

Especially kid buu. Of all figures I’m surprised that popular version of buu hasn’t been made. We got fat buu, super buu and no kid buu? The longer they wait the harder and better kid buu better be. No 2.0. But i want all the ones you said. Kid buu just seems the most realistic or comes the soonest. But again with how they’re releasing stuff the others might come

SS3 Kid Goku is gonna be it's own P-Bandai release. I think the only GT release that will probably go to general release is SS4 Gogeta, everything else from GT is gonna be P-Bandai sadly.

the goku gt figure is really nice. the trunks figure looks weird around the hip area. i dont know why they design it that way. it's an eyesore.

I’m glad I don’t only collect figuarts nowadays cuz these prices are CRAZY. I’d be fine paying them if it was even remotely worth it but this guy comes with literally nothing apart from dlc for a figure I wasn’t planning on buying. Tamashii is wilding

To be honest myself, I had that feeling of I'll get him (and Pan) for completion sake but it's not something I'm particularly excited about. Look at that photo of him kicking, that bent knee joint didn't look that good. About the hand in pocket thing, I don't like seam lines due to the part swapping. If only they do it like the JJK high school Gojo/ Geto figures.

This figure cements my thought about bandai becoming the nintendo of Dragonball figures. The lack of accessories and options, plus the dlc tail for an overpriced kid goku is insane behavior. But keep eating it up collectors!

At times like this it's hard ngl. I just don't like GT so while I want a teen Trunks, GT's Trunks is not the ideal when I think teen Trunks. I'd rather have Super Hero's. Good figure I won't lie, but not gonna make it in just like Goku and Pan won't either and it doesn't help that they're also P Bandai. Now if Super Baby 2 drops and/or Ssj4 Gogeta then I'll get them bc I love the Baby arc and the only small section of the shadow dragons arc

Nah this IS a meh figure in comparison to his DBZ counterpart release for this being a PBandai release. It being that segmented is not a good look, them knees look horrible, and for that price when it doesn’t even come with his a SSJ head/faces is flat out terrible. That’s objectively looking at this figure and I can assure you money isn’t an issue for me.
