Honestly, this looks quite rad. However, I would prefer the original Figuarts Piccolo 2.0 instead, since it came with a cape and hat as its define the characterization of whom Piccolo truly is.

For $35 this is probably the best Piccolo figure ever. I think its a 9 for the price, its like half the price of the SHF with the cape, and Marvel Legends are almost the same price these days.

As someone who dabbles in Marvel Legends and considered picking up this Piccolo, I think he has a lot of bizarre bits, especially sculpt around articulation points, which most likely will make me pass on it after all.

I like the pink slightly more but I think it makes more sense for his arms to be yellow. Also the yellow complements the purple gi. I wonder if they're going to make a figure for his new transformation. Or maybe this is the transformation?

I always thought it would be neat for piccolo arm to change color to match Kami. Since Kami was shown to have pink arms in younger self then yellow when he was older

I got the previous Piccolo and I like it, regardless of the little issues. I remember I got it for about 50, so it's still a great price. I remember how the original figures had great paint apps and no gloss, but they were also super expensive and hard to get.

I’ve been waiting for one of the previous Piccolo figures to drop in price. Until I saw this one and this was the review I was waiting for on him, I’m psyched for this figure all the more. Those arms/shoulders are definitely cool for posing but the butterfly joint is looking odd. Those yellow bits are growing on me, it definitely caught my attention as I was used to those being pink.

With this coming in at about $35, I'm interested in it. The sculpt looks decent on this, how much better would it look if you hit it with a wash and maybe some purple to highlight it and then did a matte top coat so he looks less toy-like?

Aside from the weird articulation choices for the torso and shoulders, this is a good figure of Piccolo. I just wish he came with his signature turban and cape. If there's someone who could make those, I'd get them in a heartbeat. Anyway, this figure is not a bad release at all. I'm very happy with this one. I'll probably pick up Vegeta as well from this line.

You either die a villain or live long enough to become a background hero supporting character to Goku and Vegeta. Shiny plastic isn't as problematic for me. A can of matte finish will address that if I want. I can forgive a lack of shading again for the price point but then other figures in that price bracket are doing shading. Joints being functional and aesthetically pleasing.......now that's a higher standard. But for the price, it's just the best Piccolo that's easily accessible. Maybe they might address things in later "Budget Friendly" figures.

I’m honestly becoming more and more partial to the Figure-rise model kits. It’s not like these figures have much paint on them anymore, and the engineering is notably better in a few places, plus the proportions on the whole are a lot more accurate for most figures. (And best of all, they’re much cheaper on average) This Piccolo really needs that narrow waistline and broad frame

I think the figure with the best proportions for you might be the Model Kit, but it might not be you taste for overall look.

With Piccolo being my second favorite character, Bandai did NOT disappoint! I do wish there was also his Namekian-style cape and turban, but the lower price point makes it still worth it.

Yellow looks better with green but I still don’t like the red trim. But my opinion is moot since I don’t like Pickle-oh or Namekians in general. However the yellow makes it not Piccolo to my eye.

definitely not. it costs a lot more and most people dont like cloth goods. the cloth doesnt scale correctly and you end up with a figure that looks like a sock puppet.

I love this figure, because if you have the other piccolo who released prior, aka Z piccolo you can kitbash them. Replace this one's shoes with the Z Piccolos, and you can make him wear Z Piccolos cape since he has the peg holes in his back too! Imo best piccolo when you do this

This thing is currently $27 on AmiAmi which is awesome, but in general I don't like how effect parts are few and far between in this line....Kamehameha effects should be a staple for Goku as boosters and webs are for Iron man and Spider-Man figures. Piccolo should've came with a charging whatchu-ma-call-it effect for his fingers. Talking about a little piece of plastic..

This is a better Piccolo with way better faces. He no longer has the chubby cheeks, red lips, and close together eyes. I may even pick it up if I see it in a store. I like having the old one with the cape, turban, crossed arms, and side yelling face equipped as a display piece, but this figure looks better to pose around.

Proud Namekian blows this out of the water for me. I hate the bulky pants, I prefer the pink flesh arms and the white nails and the rounded boots are just horrible. Overall the only good thing about this one is the deeper V-cut torso and no pink lips

EDIT: Boy this comments long, one of those comments you write and then post it and go oh shit that was massive. I don’t know it’s fine but it does definitely look cheap and strange in places, I get it’s one of the cheaper ones too, but you expect a certain level of quality with these figures and somehow to me the first Piccolo has been the best one straight out of the box (it’s a figure that gets a lot of flak but I just don’t get it, the things great and he looks badass hovering cross legged on my shelf). I haven’t gotten the 2.0 piccolo because the faces just didn’t look like piccolo to me bar the teeth gritted face, the very shiny body and pink lips just killed my excitement for that release, not to mention the lack of a special beam canon effect. This one I probably won’t pick up either because of the lack of cape and the overall shininess of it, if I was going to get a new Piccolo it’d be the first 2.0 but I’d have to customise it to be happy with it and I expect expensive figures like Figuarts to not require customisation to make you happy with the purchase. A matte finish and some shading goes a LONG way and there’s no way it’s an expensive thing to do to spray some stuff on it. Same time I appreciate that people that don’t want to drop a chunk of money of a figure can get these basic releases, but to me unless you’re a hardcore collector or end up loving the new film, this release is an easy miss, especially if you already have the 1.0 or 2.0

That piccolo is Manga accurate, the only characters that aren't Manga accurate are Bulma and Trunks, their hair is supposed to be purple rather than blue.
