Pretty much all of their figures in recent years do just look a bit unfinished/rushed. Which I'm sure they are with how rapid fire they've been releasing things, while also increasing the quantity of new figures. It's frustrating because it seems like they've been improving on pretty much everything else, but the finishes have suffered as a result

I usually at least want the main character if I'm getting a supporting character, it just feels off to me to do otherwise. Unless I really, really love a supporting character. I can fudge it more for comics since so many characters have had their own series, but not so much for anime. I don't like the cheeks on the hard parts at all. Just put it on the legs themselves! The people desperate for cheek probably don't mind either, since it looks less weird when the character bends over.

I’m on the fence about Renji. I think he looks better than Ichigo and also pretty much looks like his design from the OG run which I’m nostalgic for, but I’m not a big enough fan of him to want him on his own. Probably will end up getting him and Ichigo out of nostalgia.

I'll get this renji, hope they make his bankai version the new one but I won't get Ichigo. I'll wait for his new dual sword form. Hope they make the older versions with soft goods.

I don't like soft goods but the way buzzmod did the Kenshin pants looks way better than whatever is going on here. I ordered renji but not ichigo. I don't really like ichigos design and the figure is subpar so I'm just gonna wait for his other designs to come out hopefully.

Disagree tbh. The combination of soft goods for the bottom and hard, sculpted plastic for the top irks me far more than this engineering does. Soft goods can work, but you would need to make the entire outfit soft goods.

@@Zakjuh I think soft goods look goofy all the time the stitching, thread scale, how it folds/ sits on the figures all looks bad and its limits articulation most times. I usually agree with the soft goods x plastic looking weird too but on the kenshin buzzmod figure it blends really well and looks way better than the figuarts bleach pants.

@@royal5922 Weird.. did we look at the same Kenshin buzzMOD figure? It looks really, really awkward to me. Doesn't help that the articulation on the sculpted top part is really cut up as well. Hmh.. I will agree that soft goods don't typically work on 1/12 figures at all, though. I really only tend to want it for capes.

Thanks for your efforts on this video Anthony. Although I do not collect this line, it does look impressive in standard poses. Here's hoping the basement is progressing. From what I know about these things, working on such endeavors helps clear the head of cheerleading and other unwanted noises. The answer for this question can wait until step 885 however, have you thought about acoustic sound absorption in your recording studio section of the room? Something like acoustic tiles?

@@AnthonysCustoms I did a converted bedroom into a recording room for my son. Used ATS Soundproof tiles which come in a variety of décor other than the dimpled foam types. Found some on Amazon even. Just sayin'

6/10 on accessories. There should've been an extended sword as well. That's the LEAST they could've done to make it passable. This is a pretty low effort release. Would've been a 10 with . . . - better pants - better articulation - three swords (regular, release, extended) He looks great, just doesn't really have anything worth posing on a shelf.

The thigh cuts for me just look bad. Call it a personal preference, but for a design like this, I would have preferred to just not have them and instead utilize whatever swivel you can get at the thigh joint. I would be willing to sacrifice posability for aesthetic in this case

Looks like the ones with regular Shinigami uniforms look a lot better than Ichigo's specific Bankai outfit. So I hope we get a Royal Guard Ichigo as well, who would be using the same basis.

You say it's unlikely, but I did it. I have Renji without having Ichigo. I'm gonna hold out for an Ichigo that has a hollow mask (they're bound to do one sooner or later) and this is kind of a weird take probably, but I actually prefer this look for Renji over his classic look. BTW it is the same sword, the bigger one is the shikai form and it's meant to extend out like a segmented whip (I get that the figure could not do this for budget reasons :) ) instead of a swoosh, I'd have preferred this figure came with a powered down version of the sword, which just looks like a regular katana.

In a past life I'd probably have blindly collected all this line. Too bad I don't think Bleach is popular enough to see some long term iteration on the line. The packaging and legs strike me as something from 10 years ago. But I honestly don't know how else they could do it. Big billowy clothing doesn't lend itself to joints. I almost wish Buzzmod would make some and do full cloth. A swoosh or extended sword accessory would have been nice too.

I'm not a big fan of Bleach and Renji is not one of my favorite characters, but out of the Bleach figures released, I'd get Renji. He looks the coolest. Ichigo's design looks dumb.

Just to answer some questions: 1. Renji isn't from the current arc, he shows up as early as episode 15 (he's not insanely important though) 2. You don't really need him and ichigo together, he's just a popular character 3. His sword is like a whip (referring to when you said it transforms) I hope any of this could be helpful 🙇‍♂️

This Renji is actually a little bit more expensive than Ichigo, but somehow doesn't look that much better than Ichigo 😅. Though, it's still looks better than the promo images and like you said, overall better than Ichigo.

Bandai give the main character in a line an "entry level" price which is cheaper, usually the cheapest in the line, to lower the barrier to entry.

I was planning to make a video complaining about the butt cheeks on the bandai figures because i despise them lol It just frustrates me because i still feel the 2.0 lower body is much better and doesn't have the weird gapping in between the legs and diaper pieces. They just needed to work improving the side to side splits in my opinion

And I think that while you can argue that Ichigo's worse aesthetically, I suppose he at least functions as a figure, without too much explodey parts. :p Luckily, my Ichigo hasn't had the falling face problem too much, but I'd still rather have a different version of him.

You gave renji an 8 but beast a 7, who is an overall better figure with better articulation, more animation accuracy, better shading, not having garbage looking knee joints and less accesories and has about the same price point as beast 🤣🤣🤣. Goes to show me that you hold bias in your videos and dont do research in your figures and rate them based on merit and overall preformance as a figure, you just give random numbers for stuff you like and stuff you dont. L
