This face sculpt has been needed for a LONG time. The previous blue and ssj/majin etc all seem to have rounded, flat faces. Vegeta always has that snouty look when viewed side on. First figure that fixed this was SSJ4, new scouter looks pretty good too but this blue version is looking great.

Finally we got a Budget Release Vegeta Blue which could have been the DBS Broly Vegeta SHF to coincide with the DBS Broly Blue Goku!, wondering of Tamashi will make a new Blue Goku to match this Vegeta's artstyle and wondering they're gonna reuse the SS God red Vegeta head and release as a Event exclusive or a P Bandai hoping it's a regular release!

It’s based on Yuya Takahashi drawing. He was a fan of the Buu arc style of drawing so whenever he worked on DBS he just went with this style despite the new DBS style looking nothing like that. It’s especially visible in the Broly movie ( he did Vegeta vs Broly and a part of Goku vs Broly).

Amazing looking head sculpt.They totally nailed it. On a side note, I'm not sure how easy it is to remove Vegeta's shins, and by extension his boots but i really wish a third party could create a set of lower legs that use a hinge system for the feet like we get on the 3.0 figures. I really don't like the barbell joint Tamashii used to use. They dont articulate all that well and they dont look good either, especially the offset barbell joint.

My biggest issue with the 2.0 body in general was that it was use specially for “super vegeta” of Grade 2 super saiyan. The slightly buffed up version vegeta used against semi-perfect cell. They’ve made that mode his base mold. Which just doesn’t sit right with me. Especially noticeable in the shoulders and the boots. You can tell from shots from the anime that vegeta was buffed up like that, but he’s not always built like that. Vegeta has always been a little little bit more trimmed, him having this form for his tournament of power look or blue evolution look is fine. But I just wish that they would redesign him with slightly better proportions. A tad smaller shoulders.

My copy it’s on its way from Japan! I decided to pay the extra $10 instead of waiting until November to get him since I don’t own a Vegeta yet. He really looks so good and I can’t wait to get pose him around. Awesome review!

I'm happy with the DF version of the Tournament of Power Vegeta. I display mine with the Tonsen ssb hair. This looks very good but I just can't bring myself to buy the 2.0 figure again

Great review my dude! I'll enjoy this release whenever it pops up at my local Target or Wal-Mart! BTW, I think you'll have an easier time with all your head swaps if you keep a blow dryer handy and hit the head hole for 5-10 seconds. It's made head swapping for me SO much easier!

If you consider it a head pack, it's pretty good. I think I like these faces the most of any Vegeta so far, and I'm saying that as someone who was fairly impressed by the marked face improvement between the old 2.0 SS Vegeta and the new repaint with the metallic hair. As a whole figure, though, I'm just kinda tired of 2.0 bodies. It's high time we get a 3.0 Goku and Vegeta already. (I do like the color scheme for the body for this release, though.)

Well, here's the thing Bardock and Turles are both good examples of what a 3.0 vegeta/trunks earth sayain armor could look like. All bandai could do is adjust both the height and proportions to both vegeta and trunks. Having own both armored vegeta and trunks, vegeta looks great. But for some reason, trunks always felt a little off. Then I realized what the problem was what they did was use vegeta's body and lengthened the thighs parts and simply put Trunks, head on it. Not realizing that they should have slightly thicken some of trunks proportions especially his chest should be slightly wider. But that's one negative of the few draw backs of the 2.0 body its that the butterfly joints in the chest are the same on all of the goku/vegeta (torso) body clones, i think both piccolo and bardock are the only one's where they had to change the butterfly joints to be slightly wider to accommodate their proportions. It just unfortunate they didn't do the same for Tien since he's meant to slightly more muscular than awakening/ ultra instinct goku.

I think 24K Vegeta is a m perfect base head and the faces on it look better than this SSB one. That said, I think this head looks great on the SH Vegeta body, just a big shame about this discolored lower arms on it
