I'm so glad you did a direct comparison because at first, I couldn’t tell what the difference was between this version and the original. But holy crap, that old head sculpt looks so dopey by comparison.

I say a definite close, be perfected if they gave him a fire breath accessory, and also hope one day they start going back to giving more accessories, which is also what's making me doubt whether or not getting 1991 Godzilla and Godzilla Minus One Sh monsterarts.

One thing I wish this version had was the large wound in the center of the stomach and shell from when Iris impaled him. Other than that, definitely looks a lot better as ngl, the first release looks like SHMA just kinda rushed on it (tho still isn’t as bad as first release SHMA Shin Godzilla 💀) With Iris coming out, I hope SHMA would eventually make a Super Gyaos figure that comes with the super sonic beam along with the Mother Legion that maybe comes with some Legion solders (sadly doubt we would get her microwave beam or even Gamera’s mana beam as accessories because y’know 💀)

I think an impaled accessory would be hard, since the hole would have to go through the whole figure. Although perhaps they could've faked it going through his shell? We'll never know. But what we got from this figure is great as is.

The figure looks great, love the improved paint work, haven't had a chance to own a Gamera figure so this one looks like a good choice, but with the Gamera Rebirth figure coming this year, I haven't decided yet.

I cut down on collecting earlier this year but considering collecting SHMA once more for the Decisive Battle Heisei Figures we've/are getting. Seeing how Mechagodzilla 92 is getting a 3rd release under the DB banner, I'm hoping Tamashii can do the same for Moguera (who needs a reissue and the Heisei figures that were previously released as Special Color versions.
