Nope...NECA's worse with their Shin, Burning, KOTM, and GMK. Not to mention their 1985 figure is the worst of all. Their upcoming 1964 figure looks bad. And their 1994 isn't accurate which is a good figure on it's own.

I love your reviews Steven! Big fan! I actually like this figure even with its faults. I touched up my Shin Godzilla with a little paint and he looks so much better now. Painted his "red neck", painted his mouth and teeth and fixed his fingernails. But if someone really is not into customizing I can understand the frustration of paying this kind of money for a figure that needs touch-ups. Granted it only took me 30 minutes to customize him (I've been doing it for years), it still should be a mint figure at this price point out of the box. Thanks again for your great reviews Steven. P.S. When Shin Godzilla's head fell off when you opened the box..........I laughed my ass off! Sorry man, I really felt your pain. Have a great holiday and I look forward to your full review on this figure.

I have both the Neca Shin Godzilla’s but something is wrong with the lower jaw of my regular Shin when I open the mouth It looks weird on the left and I can’t close the mouth then. I see two holes that have these things inside them that are connected to the mouth. I think my left one isn’t in and I don’t know how to put in in. Can someone p,ease tell me how to fix this if they know. I also don’t like the Neca’s tail it should be a regular tail but has a lot of joints in to make it move up.

Why does Bandai always fuck up where it matters most? They fucked up Godzilla 2014, they fucked up their first SHMA Light Sound Song figure, and now they've fucked up Shin-Godzilla, and meanwhile Godzilla 1954 and Godzilla 2001's paint are just fucking dandy. Sorry you are having issues with yours. Mine came out great so I am very happy with my purchase especially at the $130 shipped price I got it for from HLJ. Not sure how I feel about the size of these newer figures. I didn't get the 89 version and he's too big to display with my other monsterarts figures. Gonna have to be a stand alone display piece for now.

To be honest, I don't love Shin's design in general, but if I were to get one I would get NECA. NECA is more accessible to people like me, who don't exactly want to fork out a couple hundred dollars just to by three action figures of inconsistent quality! At least when a NECA figure is bad it's not really an investment. With SHMA, I just feel like I'm being robbed

Yours does look much slimier than others i've seen. I'm still waiting on mine but starting to dread it. I passed on 89 because of the lack of effort put into it. I just hope my Shin is passable. James Viveros it's a Japan exclusive. Not directly released in the US. So you need to get it from one of the importers. Bandai screwed up and didn't get the North American license for the fig in time, because there was no North American distributor for the movie until FUNimation at the last minute.

I don't know what's worse. The figure or the unboxing video? I understand the frustration, but I think this is to be expected from now on. Since Bandai's warehouse is in China, the quality is going to keep going down hill. It is a shame too because the prototype and promotionals look amazing and you can tell that they put effort into that by hand and when it is time to start mass producing them China fucks it up. So unless Bandai switches warehouses and starts producing them outside of China this is the quality we are going to see.

My aim was to make them the same quality. I think that's a defeatist viewpoint, accepting mediocrity as the standard. Bandai's capable of creating near perfect figures in other lines, yet items like this -- EXPENSIVE ones, at any rate -- are treated with such carelessness. Things need to change.

That's sucks dude, I've seen a lot of good ones, Ultrazilla toys' was good, mine's good, but it seems like there's 1 of 50 or so figures that are absolutely terrible. You were dealt a shit one, and that sucks because a reviewer should never get a bad one. I feel bad for someone that works as hard as a reviewer and gets a bad figure. Te result of the limited release also means we're stuck with what we get, so unfortunate.

company sends the specs and details to the factory, The factory provides a prototype of what it's going to look like and also a template for anything that needs to be done further, the company approves it, the factory ships it out. Everyone's at fault...... Bud.
