Honestly I'd argue the only time they got Kong right was for the 2005 Kong. The MonsterVerse Kong has a wonky face too.

They made the mouth too small...they've had this problem with all their kong figures. Their monsterverse Kong is inaccurate too, like their Godzilla 2014, it was stylized and wasn't actually based on the CGI model used for the films. SH was never good at apes. In fact beyond that, SH just doesn't do the monsterverse justice at ALL. KG19 and Shimo figures were also based on their concept art designs, not their final film designs. Idk why they keep doing this.

That sculpt is horrendous. The roar head looks goofy like a messed up animatronic. The default head…….he never uses the expression ever. No other heads? That neck…..the size the bland paint and crappy dark grey. The beast glove isn’t even fully detailed like the film had. Couldn’t give it the Monarch logo? Also the jaw isn’t that crooked in the film. Just warped plastic

New year, new disappointing or amazing monke. I’m more leaning towards disappointing, since Steven didn’t have anything too good to say (besides for nothing falling off). Honestly, the “Wait for Hiya to releases said figure” trend is going on with this guy, but I don’t think Hiya we be releasing a Skar King, since they haven’t announced it with the other GxK figures. Sadly, I think we will have to be left with only an S.H. figure. See you next year Steven.

Yeah his looks so bad face wise. The one thing i was wishing after seeing the movie is they put a ton of different heads with different faces for star king. He doesn't speak obviously but he make so many iconic faces to convey what he's thinking. Not toothy grin, or smile, laughing. Just pretty disappointed on the final product
