all of us aim to be happy , and want a life that is full of joy . people in finland practice a philosophy called SISU to find their own happiness . it is a philosophy that teaches strength of character , determination , resilience in the face of adversity , and courage a positive decision .
when the USSR invaded finland back in 1939 , the finns were inferior in number and in equipment , they had nothing but the concept of SISU to practice , and so they were able to fight back and resist , showing courage and trong character . since this invasion , they learn to never give up , even if everything seem to be lost .
the practice of SISU can benefit you in all areas of life , in your work , in your education , and in your personal relationships . it means , first that you need to get out of your confort zone , this will help you grow further and improve , seond you need to focus on your strengths and align your capabilities with your goals and ambitions . as a consequence , you will develop a positive attitude towards the harships of life .
there are so many benefits of this concept to our personal growth , mainly , it teaches us to manage our stress , anxiety , fear and all negative emotions .
lastly , SISU advocates freedom and independence , as well as self confidence without the need other's validation. you should practice it too , it shall help you overcome obstacles and help you achieve your goals .
