Chutney is called CHAMMENDY and the first chutney is called chammendy podi. (Chutney powder) Second is THENGA Chammendy (..NGA is nit ga but the last alphabet ka,kha,ga,gha and NGA) THENGA is cocoanut. For the APPAM along with Suji you can add equal quantity of Rice powder also. Use a Wok (kadai) and pour two spoon scoops of the Appam batter and slowly swirl round and round two or three times and you will get a crisp frill Appam.

Methi dana in your recipe is a little excess. It could be 50 % of the current quantity. And curry leaves is a mandatory item in any South Indian chutney. Appam are superb. Very very yummy and delicious. Plus time saving.
